TUE WINGIIAM TIMES, OCTOBER 3, 1907

The Huron Ooanty Sunday School and
Christian Endeavour Convention will
be held in Blyth on Ootober 8th and 9th.
A good programme hasbeen arranged.
The wet weather on Tuesday of last
week interfered somewhat with the
success of the Fall Fair,. There area
however, a large number of entries in
the different classes, totalling over 1100.
Clinton fife and drum band furniehed
musio during the day, and the ooncert
at night was well attends
hlr. John Wilford was palled to
Toronto last week on account of the i11 -
nese of hie son, i4 the city hospital with
typhoid fever, whioh he contracted In
the Nipiising district where be spent the
Bummer vacation. Ed's'-prospeots are
favorable we are pleased to state.
Blyth Fair, whioh usually has a very
large crowd, was up against bad weather
on Tuesday of last week, with the result
that the crowd was small and disappoint.
ing. What was shown in the Indoor
Department was good, but there was not
very much of it, axoept in ladies work
and fruit, The exhibit of horses was
particularly good in all classes, but
the judging was done under great diffi-
culty; it was showery, and no sooner
would one class be judged, than every
one had to run for shelter, and then when
the shower was over another class would
be judged, followed by another skedaddle
out of the rain. The Clinton Fife and
Dram Band was present during the day.
This Tonle Builds up.
Many medioines stimulate, break
down, leave yon worse than ever. Ferr-
ozone is different -its a blood -former, a
nerve -strengthener, a body-builder.
Pale anaemic girls are given color and
vigor. The tired and sleepless are
strengthened and .restored. "Better
than all tonics. I found Ferrozone"
writes Mrs. E. F. Castleton of Wood -
stook. "1 was completely run down,
cheeks were blanched, lips white and
had every sign of anaemia. Ferrozone
added to my weight, gave me strength,
ambition and good health." Nothing
better, try Ferrozone yourself, 50c per
box at all dealers,

A very large number of friends and
relatives went to Goderioh to attend the
funerals of Mr. and Mre. Frederick
Reid. A gloom was cast over this
neighborhood when the news of their
terrible accident reaohed this place, as
Mrs. Reid (formerly Mise Etta Mo -
Dowell) was well known here, having
spent the greater part of her, life in this
immediate neighborhood. Much sym-
pathy is felt for the sorrowing parents
and brothers.

last week, when Miss Susanna M. Ker.
nick, of East Wawanosh, was joined in
the holy bonds of Matrimony to Andrew
Hackney, of Hibbert township, Porth

Many friends will hear with regret of
the death on Monday Mast of Annie H.
Bengough, wife of Mr. Hugh MaBerne y.
Deceased had been ailing since last July
with atomaoh trouble, Mrs. MoBarne y
was in her 55th year and had resided on

waft a daughter of the late Mr. Bengough
of Belgrave. , She was held in high es.
teem by a large circle of friends. The
funeral took plane on Wednesday after-
noon to Wingham cemetery.
There was quite a large turnout of in-
terested ratepayers at the meeting that
was palled at school No. 7 to confirm or
vote down the selection of a site made
by the trustees. After a good deal of
heated discussion a standing vote was
taken, whioh confirmed the selection by
a majority of two. But on a poll being
demanded the proposed site, whioh is on
the southwest corner of Geo. B. Naylor's
farm, was voted down by a majorityy of
two. It will, therefore, be settled by
arbitration. The arbitrators appointed
are Mr. W. Clark, of Belgrave, Inspector
Tom, of Goderioh, and Wm. Clegg, of
Wingham.

why it aures aches that all else can't

in any other liniment. Inwardly it's
harmless and as sure as the hereafter to

In the looal bowling competition the
awards were won by the following: -
let, D. 0. Rose, chair; 2nd, Jno. Fergu-
son, umbrella; 3rd, Jno. Habkirk, scarf
pin.
Successful medical operations were
performed recently, Mise Maggie Backer
and Mrs. (Nurse) Thompson being the
patients. Favorable progress i; being
made and we trust they will soon enjoy
the best of health.
A movement is on foot to erect a skat-
ing and purling rink in Brussels and
have it built this Fall. The intention is
to circulate a subscription list and if
sufficient stock oan bo secured to proceed
at once with the bnilding. It is a
great loss to Brussels to be without mod-
ern facilities for skating, curling and
hookey matches, A cement building of
regulation size would probably be erect-
ed if the proposal is supported as it
should be.
High noon ou Wednesday of last week
witnessed the assembling of numerous
guests at the home of James and Mrs.
McArter, Brussels, on the happy oc-
casion of the marriage of their daughter,
Miss Jennie, to S. R. Orerar, B. S. C.,
0. L. S., of Toronto, a son of Jno. and
Mrs. Crerar, of this locality. Taking
their places under an evergreen arab,
decked with asters and a wedding bell,
A.C. Wishart, B.A., spoke the all import.
ant words that made them husband and
wife.
Oh, For a Clear Complexion,
A clear complexion is the outward
evidence of inward cleanliness. In bad
health the face becomes a signboard,
telling of disease within. If yellow, bile
is not properly secreted; if pallid the
kidneys are faulty; if skin is murky and
dark circles beneath the eyes, look for
constipation. Whatever the cause, no
remedy compares with Dr. Hamilton's
Pills which are mild, safe, purifying and
vitalizing in their action. They give a
marvelous roe tint to the oheeks,bright-

ens the eyes and establish health that
defies age and disease. Sold everywhere

and the ohuroh was filled. Tea was
served from 6 to 8 o'clock after which a
program of music, speeches, etc was
rendered. The Presbyterians of this
place always have very successful anni•

prospering ander the pastorate of Rev,
