Provincial Board in Toronto..
The 34 Directors from across
the Province made decisions:

members in Ontario and
indeed many around the
world.
With an awareness of the
needs of others they voted.
32,000.00 for the project in
Bangladesh for secretarial:
training including instruction
in Nutrition; education..
enabling the women of earn a
living. The $1,500.00 that
was sent to. India last year
was used for the WC pro,
gram inchild care, nutrition
and a mini -eye camp.
Miss: M. McGhee, the
Director of the Home
Economics Branch, Ministry
of Agriculture and Food
praised the 9,000 volunteers
who gave of their time and
talents 'to teach the 4-H and
adult programs. She
announced the retirement of
Mrs. Helen Armstrong who
has been the office Secretary
for 17 years. Miss Mary
Campbell of the Home
Economics Branch will
assume this position.
"There is no better invest-
ment of time,money and
effort than investing in the
young people" ,said. Hon.
Lorne Henderson, the
Minister of Agriculture and
Food, when he addressed the
membershp and Mends at
the dinner. He praised the
Women's lnstitute for its
many accomplishments

mothers and their babies to
the meeting, noting they had
come from as far away; as
Hensall, Goderich; and.

years ago to help mothers`
nurse their babies. They also
encourage ways of ' good

ties. It was emphasized that
once a babyis born, a mother
and father form a family unit.
