1 cup. butter (do not substitute)
'A: cupbrown sugar
21/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour _
Cream butter until fluffy, Add sugar
gradually. Add oats,.; mixing. well Add
flour, 'h cupat a tune, mixing well . after
each addition. ' ,
Roll on lightly floured board. to 3/8"
thickness. 'Cut in 11/2" rounds, place on
greased cookie sheet; and prick with a fork.
• Bake at, 325• about 12 minutes. Recipe
makes, 4 to 5 dozen cookies.

4 oz. pkg. cream cheese
2 cups sifted Icing sugar
' tsp. vanilla
1- cup desicated cocoanut
pinch salt.
Mix and divide in half, add few drops of
green coloring to one .half, , red coloring to
other half. Add colouring before adding,
cocoon:, . Put in fridge`for an hour. Roll n;
balls then in coconut:, for decoration
touch, place piece of candied cherry on top
of each ball."

Heat oven:. to 400* cream sugar,
shortening, butter; . eggs and vanilla
together. Sift flour, baking powder, coffee
and salt together into creamed: mixture and
blend well.Drop by teaspoon into chopped.

nuts.. Put on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 min., Cookies should still be
slightly soft in centre 4-5 doz.

'A cups mashed potatoes. (no milk or salt)
cooled, slightly'
add 1 lb flaked' cocoanut
1 lb icing sugar (3 cups sifted)
1 tsp almondflavouring
Method
Let potatoes cool, and add other
ingredients, put in, frig ,to cool well, then
roll in 'ball and shape to crescent shape.
Return to frig for an hour. Melt 2 squares
semi -sweet .choclateand dip one end.

1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar'
1 cup. shortening,
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup Corn Flakes
1 cup oatmeal.
1• cup salted peanuts
1. tsp baking powder;
1 tsp'. baking soda
2 cups flour' •
Mix in order given. Bake in Moderate,
oven (3504) about 10-12, min. Or until:
lightly browned.
