'/: lb. coloured miniature marshmallows
1 c chopped nuts
'h c cherries'
Melt chocolate and butter..
Beat in the egg;, icing sugar, and rest of
ingredients.
Chili and then roll. into two rolls :in
coconut..
Keep in, refrigerator and slice when
desired.
Can also be put in 8" square pan.
.Sprinkle bottom with coconut and add
marshmallow mixture.
Sprinkle with coconut.Cut in squares:'

OATMEAL MUffINS
V2 or 'A cup nates, cut tune'
Pour 1 c boiling water over: dates, let.
cool..
1 c brown sugar
'/• c cooking oil'
1 egg . .
1 tsp, vanilla
1 c oatmeal
'/s tsp. salt
1 c.flour
1 tsp, baking soda
1 tsp.. baking powder,
Mix in order given, then; . add dates,
water with the flour.
Bake 20 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Melt 2 tbsp butter. Stir in brown sugar

Measure flour without sifting. Add
baking powder, salt and sugar and stir.

mixing just until moistened.
Turn in pan and sprinkle with topping,

DARK RICH FRUIT CAKE
4 c seedless raisins
2 c dried currants
11/4 c candied pineapple
c whole red glazedcherries
" c'whole green glazed cherries
1' c mixed candied peel tncluding
citron
1 cusp strong tea
2 c sliced blanched almonds
1t/a c butter or shortening at room
temperature
2' c brown sugar
8 large eggs
V3 c molasses.
1 tsp, vanilla
21 c all purpose flour
'/i tsp. soda
4 tsp, cinnamon
'/+ tsp. ginger
3/. tsp, nutmeg • .
• tsp. mace.
Combine all fruits and peel. (Not nuts).
Sprinkle with tea, Soak While proceeding to
next step. In a very large bowl or dish pan
cream butter until light. 'Beat. in sugar. Add
eggs one at a time: Beat well. Stir ' in
molasses.. and vanilla. Add soda, salt and
spices to: flour. Add flour mixture to soaked
fruit and add almonds. Then add all to
creamed mixture and mix thoroughly.
Line 3 standard greasedloaf pans with a
double layer of waxed paper. Bake at 275°
for .3'/2 hours. .Put a pan of .water in 'the
oven for the entire baking time, Cool. : Will.

;Mix•sugar anal eggs together, add dates:.
Cook 10. to 12 minutes in a ,heavy frying
pan. Remove from heat and, add:

RASPBERRY DELIGHT'
1'4::c graham wafers
,'/t c icing sugar
"A c melted butter
Mix and pat in 8" x 8" pan, reserve 'A c
for top.
, Dissolve one package raspberry jello in:,1
c hot water,, add 1 package frozen
raspberries, stir till set, pour over crust.
Melt 20 marshmallows in double boiler
with '% cup milk. Cool. Fold .in, 'h, pint
whipping cream(whipped),
Pour over raspberry mixture, sprinkle
remaining crumbs on top.

BOSTON CREAM PIE
3 eggs
'/2 c white sugar
' c milk
1 c' all purpose flour
'/a tsp. Baking powder, pinch of salt;
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat .'eggs and sugar till thick and
creamy. Add milk and. flavouring, fold in
flour, baking powder andsalt, sifted.
Bake in 2 jelly pans in 300 degree oven
'for 30 to 35 minutes. When, cool slice in two
ayers (4 in all) put cream filling between.

APPLESAUCE RAISIN CAKE
2/a c melted butter 1 c brown sugar
1 c raisins
1 c chopped walnuts
1'h cup hot unsweetened applesauce
2cflour
2 tsps baking soda
1'tsp. cinnamon

A tsp. ,,ginger
1 tsp. salt
• Frosting!
2 tbsp. butter
xh tsp salt
1 tsp. vanilla:
1'h c icing sugar
2 tbsp.`:milk
Put soda in applesauce: ; Mix rest of
ingredients in usual 'way, adding apple•
sauce last. Bake 350° for 35 - 40 minutes.
Cool and ice with frosting, '.

SAVORY TURKEY CASSEROLE _
2 tbsp. butter
Place turkey in 10" casserole: Spread
soup evenly over turkey. Add layer of peas...
and tomato. Sprinkle 1" layer of dressing
over the . tops Heat together milk and
butter, Pour evenly over top. Bake 25
minutes at 400°.
