week. The body rested at the
Lockhart Funeral Home until
Monday when burial rook

Leaders instructed the
girls on stitching the scotch
stitch and the cashmere
stitch. The, members also.
discussed ideas for Achiev-
ment Day. They decided to--
do a play featuring different
designs of needlepoint. At:.
the 5th meeting, Oet.:15 at
Mrs. Herman Klaver's alt
the members answered the
trail call, "Name an article
which Was ncedlepointed his-
toriealiy."

ellery box covers. 'chair and
other . furniture coverings,
Members were introduced to

some of the needlepoint she
had done or that had, been

had done at the age of 10 in
school when needlecraft was
part of their schoolwork.
Members split into two
;groups. While Janneke.Mur-
ray instructed' the'sniors on
doing the brick stitch, Mrs.
Klaver . showed the juniors
how,. to finish off' their
coasters with the overcast
stitch.
Everything was going
smoothly until one; of the
senior Members discovered:
that she had sewn . her
satipler- to --:.the- tablecloth:-
Everyone had a good laugh
over that.
Janncke Murray showed
the girls how to get their
sampler back in the right
shape. :.
