Born in Ireland, he was a

Canada to the Oshawa area
in 1928 where he was a
welder.
Surviving are his wife. the
fortner Bernice Dorrance,
whom he married in Whitby
In 1932. The couple came to
live in. Seaforth in 1972,

where a service was held

She was employed with
Bell Telephone of Toledo for
25 years.
Surviving are her husband

sidence.
Born in Logan Township,
March 7, 1908, he was a son
of the late William. J. Meyer
and former Mary Kahle.
• He was a painter by trade
and spent a number of years
in Edmonton, Alta. and
Inuvik, N.W.T., retiring to
Logan Township in 1971 and
had resided. in Mitchell
the past three years.

He was a member of St.
Peter's Lutheran. Church,
Brodhagen.
Surviving are one brother
Henry, of Kitchener; six
sisters Miss Marie Meyer,
Mis. Rtid�lph H Id Bauer..
and Mrs. Minnie Leonhardt,
all of Logan Township: Miss
Clara Meyer of Kitchener,
Miss Edith Meyer of Detroit

ship, died in Huronview.
Clinton on Wednesday, Oct.
1 Mr. Slavin is survived by
his wife, Elsie Scott of
Goderich", who he trarried in
I40v., 1974. He was pre-
deceased .by his first wife,
Dorothy Elgie in 1972.
• Mr. Slavin was born in
1911 in Hensall, the son of
• William Slavin and Elizabeth
Last.' He was a farmer until
1956, and • then he • was
employed at Baechler's Mill
in Goderich. from 1956 until
.116' retired in 1972. He
•resided in Goderich Town-
ship. Mr, •Slavin was a
member of Victoria Street
United Church:
He is survived by one
brother, Thomas Slavin of
Exeter and was predeceased
by a sister Ida and two
brothers, William and Fred-
erick.
A funeral was. held Oct. 6
at 11 a.m. from Stiles
Funeral Home, with the Rev,
• John D.M. Wood officiating.
Interment was in Maitland -
bank Cemetery, Seaforth.

memorial service' for Mr.
Slavin at the funeral home 'On
Friday night. -•

92, who, was born in Hullett
•Township died in Calgary
Alberta Sept. 1 1979. Mr.
Monk, the son of the late
Robert Monk and. the former
Jane Halliday, attended S.S.
• No 7 Hannah's School in
Tuckersmith Township. He
lived in 'Saskatchewan for
nearly 40 years. and in
Edmonton, Alberta for the
past 25 years.
