anniversary of Seaforth's.
Branch 156 of the .Royal
Canadian Legion, A number
of special events have been.
held throughout the year
' beginning with a New Year'S
Day levee.
Saturday night an
anniversary, . : dinner and;
dancewill cap the festivities.
The Legion's Dominion
President Ed Coley of
Calgary will be guest ,
speaker.
The Legion began in. Seaforth..
50 years ago next week.

initially organized at a meet-
ing held in the Great War
Veterans Association Hall ori.

1 am pleased, on behalf of your fellow. Legion members,
to send greetings to you on the occasion' of the ' SOth
anniversary of Branch No. 156. This is°.indeed a historic,
milestone for the ` Seaforth ,Branch whose history of
community service is outstanding.
Anniversaries are a time to look back and a time to look
forward. In the Legion we do both.' Having reachedyour
goldenanniversary, you can look back with pride on 50
years of dedicated service.
You should also :Iobk forward to a bright future, where.
your branch,'' supported by son. s and daughters, will
continue to hold a prominent, place in the community.
I know that Seaforth Branch, on the eve of its golden
anniversary, will continue to be a :credit to our great
organization,

time ago' to obtain the
assistande of art architect to
develop plans that would
reflect the reduirements of
members of the Legion and
chairman B.S. Box outlined
the 'preliminary work which

undertaken.
