The Bantams had been the first golfers off the tee in the morning and also first in the clubhouse when finished. As a result both Jerry and Todd were well aware that they would be heading back out in an hour or so. By then the Juvenile and Junior titles had been decided, but this extra bit of drama added an element of the "big time" te our little tourney. The day was terribly windy. This week some of our junior golfers will be compet- ing in Ivlaitland's Junior Invitation, and also at the Canterbury Club in Sarnia, Ken Doig is playing in the Canadian Amateur Champ- ionship in Brantford'. That event is underway Aug. 22-25. The Club Championship will soon be upon. us. It consists of 3, 18 -hole rounds played on our local course by members. The first round will be the Men's Invitation Tournament. The second round will be played the following day (Sunday, Sept. 9) and the third and .final round the following week. The winner will represent our club in the Champion of Champions Tournament for the Beefeater trophy in 1980. Remember to sign up soon for the Men's Invitation on Sept. 8.
