BY PAUL ELL1S Seeing a 1931 Ford Model A Sport Coupe 'drive down the road; followed by a 1939 Chevrolet Deluxe Master, wouldn't have even got a second look back in the '30's. NOW add to that a 1923 Model T Roadster, a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 1948 Cadillac Series 62 Sedanette, plus half a dozen more, all: in perfect conditien. Put them all ort the road driviog through .Seaforth in 1979 and you'll turn -a lot of heads. That's just what happened last Sunday afternoon when the Southern Ontario ,Street Rod Association held their 10th annual picnic on Allan Butson's Farm, R,R.2, Staffa. • Street rods are old cars, usually pre -1950, which have been, restored or rebuilt. It's not unusual to' see a vehicle from the 40's with a brand new engine and Short drive train in it. But on the outside the ears look original, with the exception of citizen's band radio antennas.
