Joe Vandenberk, president of the Brodhagen Chamber of Commerce, said this year's attendance was about the same as last year's. The members of the group barbe- cued 1,000 halves of chicken over an open fire to get ready for the dinner. Wives 'of Chamber mem- bets made over 150 pies for• • the supper: Mr. Vandenberk said money: raised :from the barb- ecue'will be used to sponsor local ball teams and pay for: recreation programs such as the 'day camp and the weekly swimming session in Mitch- ell for Brodhagen young- sters.
