About 800 people attended
the successful Brodhagen
Chamber of Commerce barb-
ecue held at' the .community
centre recently.
Joe Vandenberk, president
of the Brodhagen Chamber
of Commerce, said this
year's attendance was about
the same as last year's. The
members of the group barbe-
cued 1,000 halves of chicken
over an open fire to get ready
for the dinner.
Wives 'of Chamber mem-
bets made over 150 pies for•
• the supper:
Mr. Vandenberk said
money: raised :from the barb-
ecue'will be used to sponsor
local ball teams and pay for:
recreation programs such as
the 'day camp and the weekly
swimming session in Mitch-
ell for Brodhagen young-
sters.
