Constable Dave Dale said the weather helped, in keeping things quiet. On Sunday, July I, there was a hit and run incident at the Forge parking lot when a rented , car from Gerald's Datsun was hit in the parking lot resulting in approxi- mately $150 damage. The matter is still under investi- gation. - Later the same day, the cruiser patrol noticed smoke coming from the laundromat on Market Street. When the officer investigated he found one of the dryer motors was red hot and smoking so the hydro was cut off to prevent a. fire. At 2 a.m. Sunday Morning, a vehicle was reported driv- ing over lawns on Railway Street. The driver was stopped and eharged with wilful damage and a liquor offence.' • . 4 .
