two elementary schools will.
compete in a bicycle rodeo at
the Seaforth arena today.
t The competition starts at 10
a.m. and is held with the
co-operation of the Seaforth
police and: the two schools.
The first. and second prize
winners from the schools will.
compete in the finals. Con-
stable Charles Akey of the
Seaforth police said in the
future he hopes a local
student will be ableto go on
to represent Seaforth in the
provincial bike rodeo finals.
Students missed the com-
petition this year which was
held earlier this spring,.
The rodeo stresses the safe
use of bicycles on the road.

the weekend in Toronto where. among other things, they
attended the '"Tonight at 8:30. 9:00 in Newfoundland"
satirical musical at the Teller's: Cage in; the Contnterce
Court.
Mr. and Mrs..Cal Caldwell of Egmondville attended the
Spring Reunion weekend at the University of Toronto on.
Friday. Mr, Caldwell's 1954 class was among the five
classes being honoured at this year's reunion. ,One of the
' oldest graduates :attending was Mrs. R,G. Rankin, 93
years old, who is the mother of the vice-president of the
university. The other classes who were being honoured
were 1909, 1919, 1929, and 1939,
Betty Cardno of Seaforth, Huron, County Home Care
administrator, was elected to the board of directors of the
Ontario Welfare Council at a convention in Ottawa last.

and Elmer Townsend, Man's Wallet game - Orin Midtlien
and woman with more than six. grandsons - Gertrude
Taylor and Helen McClure,.
,Prizes for euchre'' were; Ladies first - Ria Midtlien: Gents
first- Jim McClure; Low prizes = Glen and Marg McClure
Lone hands - Orrin Midtlien. There were about 30 present.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brag, Newmarket, Mrs, Norman
Willis, Kitchener, Mr. Ephraim Clarke, Huronvie'v; spent
the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Lorne. Lawson { nd were
among the 323 friends, 'relatives who attended the 40th.
wedding anniversary party at Family Paradise Saturday -
night to help Lorne and Viola celebrate, Mrs. Bill Flynn
and her "Huron .'Ramblers" .. supplied the. nt.usic. :The
address was composed and, read by Lorne's cousin, Mrs.
Harry Boag, Newmarket. "The Huron Strings" Warren.
Whitmore, Wilson McCartney, Marie Flynn and Lorne
Lawson with. Gary Black on piano?played a few numbers,
. Lunch was arrangefi and :supervised by Mr, and Mrs
John George and .staff of Family Paradise ending a very
pleasant evening. '
