If.you have ever heard and
closely listened to the song
"Bohemian Rhapsody" you,
probably learned that the
piece of music is about a
young man who committed
the ultimate .crime- murder.
The song tells of '': the
remorse he feels as a result:

Last Sunday ,night. :.the
Hawks put together their
best period of hockey all
year. That was the first
period and they held a big
5-2 lead after it had ended.
Their last two stanzas
weren't all that bad either. •
GREMLINS •
But as the night wore on
the •gremlins, went- to work

inshock as the Blues roared
back to capture a thrilling

The Hawks were actually

winning goal last week with

The: win by the Blues gives
them a 2 •win 1 • loss playoff

excellent chance at a 'finals'
berth. ,
The Hawks, meanwhile,
are quite out of the running
to state an understatement.
In addition to his. late garne
winner, Devereaux had 2
earlier scores to finish the
evening with a fine hat trick

STARS 3, FLYERS.
What a time to come ittp•
flat - playoff time.
The Flyers finished the
regular season lrlth• a fine
10-5 record and that was not
a fluke,
They combined; fine goal-
tending with tenacious
checking and abundant team,
spirit to finish high in the
standings and provedto
everyone that they were
legitimate contenders for the
league championship. •
But the once smooth. Tan-
ning
unning machine has become a
little rusty in the playoffs and:
a, berth in the "finals" may
be a tougher task than lower-
ing unemployment,
The white shirts have been
somewhat less than impres-
sive during, the current round
robin and; last Sundays early
game 3-2 loss to the Stars,
may just end, any hopes of a
league championship,.
However, the Stars aren't'
exactly patsies. They also
finished the regular term, at
10-S. and along with the
Wings and Flyers were heav-
ily favoured to capture all the
goodies,'
BOTH CLUBS
Both clubs; are now 1 win
and 2 losses but the green
team has, a big edge because
of last weeks win„
Jim Hollandscored twice
for the winners. -His last goal
turned out, to be the winner.
Holland has proven to be a
big bonus for the Stars this
year •
Returning. this season after
a number of years off -the
blades he has scored a
handful of key goals and his
solid defensive work has
helped the Stars immensely
their quest for an 111 L,
title -
Doug Phillips tallied the
other . goal for the winning
side. •
