Mildred McGregor has now taken over. We
say a fond farewell to Mabel and welcome
aboard to Mildred.
The service at St. Andrew's Church,
Kippen was held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.
This being the second Sunday in Advent,
Pastor Don Moffat lit the purple candle,
purple being the symbolic colour for
Penitence.
The sermon was entitled "Reco5nizing
and Responding to the Messiah.' Mrs.
Gerald Moffatt presided at, the organ. The
choir sang "Stars That Twikle find Shine."
Dec. 11 is White Gift Sunday; special
Sunday. Special envelopes will be available
for the giving, proceeds of which will go to
the needy in the community. Senior students
of the Sunday School will be conducting the
service.
Lorne Finlayson is a patient in Stratford
General Hospital where he underwent
surgery.

McGregor homes on Sunday, Dec: 4. Those
present were Alec and Mettle McGregor,
John and Mary and their children David,
Terry, Carol and a friend; Doug and Ann,
and son Brian from Wingham, and daughter
Barbara, who came home from Kitchener
where she is furthering her studies at
Lougheed College. Catherine and Eric Judge
came from Strathroy with their children
Heather, Jimmy and Kathy Jane.

The December meeting of the Kippen
East Women's Institute will take the form of
a Christmas party to be held at Hensel'
United Church on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6:30
p.m. Guest speaker is Ross Daly. Ladies

The Foresters held their Christmas' family:
party on Sunday Dec. 4th. Over 80 Foresters
and their families sat down to a 'pot fuck'
supper. Anna Dolmage, President of th'e
women's lodge conducted the entertainment
A welcome recitation was given by Paul, •
Dolmage. Andrea Ribey played a piano solo
and Bradley Ribey played two selections on
the electric guitar.
Leanne Dolmage favored with two seier
, dons on the ba pies. Denise Miley ;played
Tingle Bells and Red River. Valley -.on the
piano.'Ella Flood played the piano and Anna
Dolmage lead a sing song of Christmas
carols. Jim, Jameison showed three films. . -

Mrs, Terence Hunter, has returned to the
home of 'her daughter Mr. and Mrs. John
Thompson having spent some time in -
Goderich hospital with pneumonia. We wish
