the Hensall Fair Board held a meeting at the
home of the president of the • Ladies'
-Committee, Frances Kinsman. Those pres-
ent were the secretary Barbie Van Allen; the
committee in charge of Plants and Flowers
section. including Elaine Kinsman. Thea
Wisch, Mona Alderdice and Margaret
Hoggarth; Betty McGregor was representing
the Domestic Science Section; Sandra Turner
was present from the Home Department --this
includes the sewing, crochet, knitting and
quilt section. -Marlene Bell was representing
the arts and crafts section. The committee of
the eneril-;meeting of the • Ifenuall
Cent Committee was held Tuesday

Co•nsitt will head the Beard Growing Contest

Cecil Pepper reported, at Hensall.Council
Lias declared Feb. 13, 1984 a public holiday in,
Hensall to comfnemorate our Centennial and
the. Bi Centennial. '
The New Years Dancepreparations are
underway and tickets are selling well: With
the price set at only 520 couple they are sure
-to be a sell out. Tickets are available from
Centennial members,
Accomodation for out of town visitors, will
be required. If anyone has an extra room they
would like to rent out for the weekend of
celebrations please phone, 262-2548.
Any caterers wishing to set Op food booths
in Hensall for the weekend of June 29 to July
2/84 should contact either Charles Hay
262-2509 or Mrs. Harold knight 262-2319.
There will be no general meeting, in
December; the next meeting is Jan. 24.

prepare the Christmas music. The ladies of
the Church are meeting for their Christmas
pot -luck dinner Monday Dec. 5 at 12 noon.

Centennial quilt is to be included in the
program. The details are as follows. A
hand -sewn quilt, depicting. Hensall Centen-
nial, minimum size 54 x 78 inches; any
technique allowable eg. embroidery, liquid
embroidery, applique etc. First prize will be
$100.

committee members.,- To raise money for
prizes for the ladies division. the committee is
going to sew a quilt and tickets are being sold
for this project by the ladies.
