Hetisall United Chinch was ailed to
capacity on Sunday morning for the 13Sth
anniversary. Rev. Donald Becker Corunna,_ a
former minister of Hensall, was the "guest
minister. Rev. McDonald conducted 'the
service and the ushers were Jim Parsons,
Gary Kyyle, David Brock and Rick Parsons.
Grace Dnttamond greeted the conggreggation
and Deanna Brock and Susan Campbell were
the Nursery leaders. The choir sang two
lovely anthems and Donna St. John was
soloist.
There was a large turn-ouyat, the United
Church on Sunday evening to see the film
"The Cross and The Switchblade" starring
Pat Boone and Eric Estrada.

Helga and Bernie Harder who have
returned from missionary work in Japan were
the guest speakers Sunday at Londesboro
United Church. At 2 p.m. a large number met
in Sunday school rooms to meet the Harders
when they talked of teaching English in
Japan for four years and showed slides of
people and places in Japan.
The W.I. met Nov. 8 with guests from
Auburn and Blyth. President Margaret
Taylor read "Remembrance", an answer to
Flanders fields. Roll call was, answered by a
news item or momento regarding Royal
family or Royal wedding with 12 members
present.
Genevieve Allen introduced guest speaker
Gordon Wright from Seaford' with slides "A
walk through Old London". London was
started in 42 A.D. Slides of the RoyaiWedding
were enjoyed. Neat meeting is a Christmas
party family night pot luck supper Dec. 4 at
-6:30 p.m.

Congratulations to Mrs. Laura Saunder-
cock on her 89th birthday on Nov. 10, several
friends called. Nancy, Mrs. Keith Allen had
surgery in Clinton Public Hospital Thur. Nov.
10th: Friends wish her a speedy recovery.
Mrs. Reg Lawson returned home on Fri.
from spending past 10 days in Clinton Public
Hospital.
Mr. J. Percy Manning who was born here
and spent a number of years here, operated a
grocery store, then moved to London died on
Nov. 9 at Victoria Hospital, age 84 years. He
was buried from Needham funeral home,
London on Fri. Interment in Komoka
cemetery. Attendingfrom, here were his
brother, Mr. and Mrs. Wilt. E. Manning;
nieces and nephews Gail and Harry Lear;
June and Stan Johns; 'Jack and Dorothy
Tamblvn; Joe and Janet Hunking; Pat

Scott enjoyed a bus trip to Royal Winter Fair,
Toronto on Nov. 11 with Montgomery bus
lines.
Bob Riley and friend Cory of MacTier, Ont.
visited last weekend with relatives and
attended his nephew's wedding Riley and
Argyle at Godench.
Harvest Home Dance. a family dance
sponsored by congregational -life and work
committee will be held Friday, Nov. 18 from 8
p.m. to midnight at Hullett central school.

Jim McEwing, Watson Reid, Londesboro;
Bert Gray, Bill Chambers, Clinton; Stewart
Knite, St. Thomas returned home from
spending a week at Bracebridge hunting with
proof of two deer.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Allen visited on
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Jackson,
Brian and Sandra in Ridgetown and 'attended
the conunencement Saturday night at Ridge -
town D.H.S. 'when Brian graduated and
Sandra received an honor student.
Mr. "and Mrs. Jack Lee attended the
funeral of het aunt, Nan, Mrs. Bob Daer on ,
Monday at Goderich, age 95.

Mike Radford, Jeff Vincent, Brenda Finch
and Theresa Overboe were the flag -bearers
and Jamie Gibbings played the snare drum.,
Many grade eight students took part in the
service.
Master of ceremonies -was Deanna Lyon.
Each class laid a wreath and a poppy. Mr.
Garnet Harland from Clinton was the guest
speaker.
On November 7 the nurses came to our
school to check the pupils' eyes and ears.

SERVICE
On Remembrance Day the grade seven
and eight classes went to the Blyth Legion
Service at 2:Q0 in the afternoon. Our whole
school walked up to the United Church in
Londesboro for another Remembrance>Day
service.
