south of Penh County will be running for the
Oration, of 1984 warden. . • ,
Reeve Glynn Coghlin of Elva Township
and • Riga .Qliver McIntosh of Fullatton
Townshipannounced It County crania's
Nov. 10 session that they will be seeking the
warden's, chair during the election of Dec.,8,
Mr. Coughlin. 53, announced a year ago -'
that he would be peeking the warden's seat
for 1984. He has been reeve of 'Elora
Township 'since 1980 and while not having
served on council prior to that, he has been
active in many agriculture -related activities.
He is a past chairman of the Perth County
Milk committee, Holstein -Friesen Associa-
tin and the United Breeders Co-operative.
DAIRY FARMER
A dairy farmer, Reeve Coghlin is also a
chartered member and past president of the
Atwood Lions aub. He has been on the
board of the Atwood United Church for 14
years and served as secretary of the
congregation for 13 years.
As a county councillor he has served as
chairman of both the community services
and administrative committee. He has also
served as finance chairman. of the Spruce
lodge Board of Management.
The Elma reeve is now chairman of the
Listowel and District Seniors complex.
He and his wife Olive, have five children
and five grandchildren. Mrs. Coghlin is a
well-known artist in the area.
Reeve Coghlin said fi a years as reeve will

He.has been reeve of Foliation township
since 1980; Prior to that he served as a
councillor and deputy reeve since 1968. As a
county councillor, he, has. been , on the
administration committee and this past,year
has served as chairman of both `the Spruce
Lodge Board of Management and its
non-profit housing corporation.
The Fullerton reeve is a past chairman of
the Mitchell arena board and for five years
he served as the municipal representative on
the Upper Thames River Conservation
Authonty.
A cash crop and beef farmer. Reeve
McIntosh is also in the snowmobile
business.
He and his wife Laurin have six children
with two remaining at home.
Hibbert. Township Reeve Ivan Norris said
he would like to seek the chairmanship of the
road committee, but he first has to be named
to that committee. Other reeves indihated
which committee they would like to serve on
in the coming year.

Lou Masse. Zurich attended the funeral of
their aunt Mrs. Mary. Harvey of Kitchener
who passed away suddenly on Wednesday,
November 2. Mrs. Harvey was in her 64th
year and is the sister of Mrs. Joseph Ryan of
Kitchener.

Over 150 delegates attended the Annual
Meeting of the Huron -Perth Ontario Associ-
ation of AgnculturalA,pctetlest ttykicIlcwrisy
held recently in Listowel:' .
Fair Queens from Brussels, Dungannon,
Exeter. Listowel, Seaforth and Stratford,
were well received by the audience. The
crowd enjoyed the musical entertainment
which was provided by Mr. and Mrs. Don
McDonald of Listowel.
The Ken Reaney Memorial Plaque which
is awarded to the Society which has the
