Thanksgiving visitors at Kilbarchan

BY MABEL TURNBULL
Thanksgiving Day is over and Kilbarchan
cglebrated it in the trtdttion al way. After the
blessing by Jack Tierney, President of the
Residents' Council, a wonderful dinner was
served in a family self -serve style. The
tables in the big dining room were put
together so all could sit together for turkey
with all the trimmings. Residents had every
reason to be thankful.
Thanksgiving visitors: Lena Regele and
daughter Pearl of Walton, visited with Anna
Hoegy. Patti Spence, St. Marys had a
Muegge family reunion where 29 sat down to
dinner. Zack and Joe Ryan visited with Mary
Ryan. Jim and Florence Stewart visited
Mabel Turnbull and others at Kilbarchan.
Clare Reith, a neighbour, came with the
calendar from First Church which he usually
brings to the McKay "boys" and myself.
Mary Layton. Bessie Smale and Belle Papple
went out for their own family celebration.
Wat Webster, Clinton played a few numbers
on his mouth organ for the residents.
Bessie Smile's bouquet of red rose buds
are opening to make a fine bouquet for her
90th birthday. Happy birthday Bessie.
Rev. Gordon Simmons was with us on
Wednesday to leave the impressive message
about anger. Friday's films on Mexico and
Lake Superior were very interesting and
we'd like to thank Bryan Peter for showing
them to us.
At bowling on Thursday, Allan Cook was
highest bowler with a 196 score. Gladys
McFadden, Mattlel Aho and Martin Wiles
also enjoy bowling.
