Combine sliced applies, peaches, color -keeper, sugar, tapioca, cinnamon and mace. Spoon filling into prepared pie plate and fold plastic wrap over to enclose. Freeze several hours or until,filling is firm. Remove frozen filling from pie plate and seal tightly in plastic wrap. Label and return to freezer until ready to use. Filling may be stored up to 6 months. Makes one 1 L (9 inch) pie filling. To use: Prepare pastry for a 2 crust 1 L (9 inch) pie. Line pie plate with half of pastry. Remove frozen filling from freezer; discard wrapping..Place filling in pastry shell. Roll out remaining pastry for top crust. Cut several slits for steam vents. Fit pastry over tilling; fold edge of top crust under bottom crust and crimp edge. Bake in a 200°C (400°F) oven 45 to 50 minutes, or until crust is golden. Cool slightly on a rack. Serve warm with ice cream, if desired. Makes one 1 (9 inch pie). St. Columban baptism MRS. CECHAA RYAN Amanda Cecilia, daughter of Gerry and Karen Ryan was baptized on Sunday.
