I do not make six million dollars a year from my best selling novels. 1 do not have five secretaries who file and type articles to be sent to the New York Times, 1 am just a small town girl who enjoys writing about every day happenings. My columns, cannot compare to Erma Hornbeck or Ann Land- ers but then I cannot compare to these ladies either. I am just an average person, whereas these ladies are very high classed and famous. The average person does not have his/her hair done at a hair dressers or beauty salon five times a week. The average person does not have champagne with breakfast or soup with every dinner. They know what it is like to keep the extra sugar or ketchup packages given to them at a fast food place and save them for a meal at home. - An average person knows the embarrassment of mis- taking one person for another or dialing a wrong number on the telephone! They know the thrill of watching fireworks or a baseball game and the fear of listening to the Fre alarm. An average, everyday per- son is not afraid to try new recipes and)will even ear the creation if the recipe is a flop. He will leave the dishes on .A. jobs In addition to the day-to- day work experience, several days are set aside for educa- tional purposes. The first of these was an Orientation Day to familiarize the students with the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority. The second Education Day was an Emergency First Aid Course.
