IN BRUSSELS
Greg Smith of Newry,
attended the. Oakland Pontiac
National Meet in New York
State in early Aug. He
brought home his first prize
trophy for .his 1929 Oakland
Roadster.
This antique car's body and
paint was restored four years
ago at McNeil's Auto Body of
Brussels.
The car has won several
other achievements and was
displayed at the Brussels
annual Tradefest a couple of
years ago.

Achievement Day
The final meeting of the
Brussels DairyClub was held
on Thurs. Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. at
the farm of club leader Lyle
Martin.
The club discussed the
pamphlet on fitting and show-
ing to prepare for the upcom-
ing Achievement Day. After
completingthe quiz, mem-
bers proceeded to write the
exam.
After writing the exam,
Wilber Freeman gave a les-
son and a few tips on
trimming and clipping a calf
for Achievement Day.
The market at Brussels
Stockyards traded steady on
cattle with the fancy quality
demanding a premium. Pigs
sold barely steady. There
were 596 cattle and 1251 pigs
on offer.
