All kids are back to school

Labour Day weekend is
before us again and that
signifies the end of the
children's summer holidays
and the commencement of
school.
These past two months
have gone so quickly its hard
to comprehend. The children
have gotten their new shoes
and togs to wear to school.
Whether it is the kindergar-
ten class, the first year high
school students or the fresh-
men in University or College
- it is a day of excitement and
uncertainty. It is probably
the only day in the whole
year that these students are
ever shy and timid. Strange
new surroundings. inquiring
new faces and all those
scholarly looking teachers
and professors lurking about
makes Tuesday, Sept. 6, the
longest day of the year.
But students you arc not
the only nervous souls. How
could you forget all those
moms and dads who watch
Wins K of C
$1000 draw
their first child board the
school bus with that new
school bag and tiny lunch
box, or that college student
pack his or her travel bag and
say, " Bye, see you on
Friday." To those left stand-
ing in the driveway there is a
sudden emptiness that is
often filled with tears of good
wishes and love to help them
through each passing day.
Good luck to both students
and teachers and may each
day you are together be filled
with laughter and learning
that will last you a lifetime.
Congratulations are ex-
tended to Mr. and Mrs. Louis

Honesty
is alive
and well
Steve Walters of Goderich
is one person who is relieved
to know that there are still
some honest people in this
world.
Steven lost his wallet in
Seaforth on the weekend
where it was found by
Seaforth teenagers Brenda
Wesenberg, Dave McLlwain
and Sandra Hulley. They
promptly telephoned
Steven's home and the wallet
was retrieved with $193 cash,
credit cards, identification
cards and driver's licence
still intact.
