also donated money to the
welfare of veterans in West-
minster Hospital and still do

has 24 exhibitors
The Seaforth Horticultural
Society held their annual
flower show at the Seaforth
Legion hall on Wed., Aug. 10.
A late planting season fol-
lowed by very dry weather
had flower show officials
worried, . but 24 exhibitors
worked hard and brought in
219 entries (five more than
last year) to make the flower
show a success.

A former resident of Hen -
sail, M. Earl Campbell died at
the Bluewater Rest Home,
Zurich on Fri. Aug. 12. He
was 83.
Husband of Maggie May
(Nunn) Campbell. he is sur-
vived by two daughters, Mrs.
Leonard (Doreen) Smith, Lu -
can; Mrs. Larry (Mary) Cro-
nyn, Centralia; three sons,
Joseph Arnold of Exeter,
Kenneth of RR2, Grand Bend
and Homer of Hensall. Also
surviving is one brother Percy
of Hensall; 44 grandchildren
and 60 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Campbell was prede-
ceased by five sons, Roy,
1968; Robert and Harold,
1973;Lloyd, 1979and Gerald,
1980.
A reeve of Hay township
from 1950 to. 1955, Mr.
Campbell was elected War-
den of Huron County in 1955.
He was a member of Inde-
pendent Order of Oddfellows,
Hensall Lodge No. 223, Hen-
sall Masonic Lodge No. 224,
Hensall Rebekah Lodge, Exe-
ter Lodge of the Order of
Eastern Star and a member of
Seaforth Malloch Chapter.
Visitation was held from
the Hensall Chapel of Mich-
ael P. O'Connor Funejal
Homes. Funeral service was
held from the Carmel Presby-
terian Church, Hensall on
Mon. Aug. 15 with Rev,
Kenneth Knight officiating.
Interment in Exeter Ceme-
tery.
A memorial service was
held at the funeral home
under the auspices of Hensall
Masonic Lodge, No. 224

A former McKillop resi-
dent, Ila Dorrance died in
Huntsville on Tues. Aug. 16
in her 93rd year.

Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. Interment
in Maitlandbank Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late
Russell N. Dorrance (1950).
Surviving is one son Stanley
of Huntsville. Predeceased
by two sisters and one grand-
son.

dent, Ila Dorrance died in
Huntsville on Tues. Aug. 16
in her 93rd year.

Home, Seaforth, after 2:00
p.m. Wednesday. Funeral
service will be held Thurs.,
Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. Interment
in Maitlandbank Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late
Russell N. Dorrance (1950).
Surviving is one son Stanley
of Huntsville. Predeceased
by two sisters and one grand-
son.
