Ruth Hinton entertained next with her organ music. The evening wouldn't be complete without a funny skit organized by Janis Aitche- son. " On Wednesday afternoon the students from Brussels Public School came and sang a selection of songs. On Wednesday evening a card party was held. The money raised was donated to the Ontario Heart Foundation. On Thursday the East Wawanosh Public School Glee Club of Belgrave enter- tained with a few songs for the residents. Friday took the form of a discussion group. Pastor Doug Zehr held an evening ehufch service. Throughout the week there was a white elephant table. The proceeds will be given to the Heart Foundation in memory of Evelyn Smith, a long time resident of the Home. Margaret Weir won the Bingo trophy for the month of June. Jalmar Pietikaner and Bill Close won the trophies for bowling last week. BASEBALL SCORES The Brussels Squirt boys defeated Bluevale in Blue - vale. The Brussels Mite Boys defeated Bluevale on- Wed- nesday night in Brussels. The Pee Wee boys defeat- ed Belgrave on Tuesday night. Brussels Pee Wee boys won their game, in their home town, when they played a- gainst Bluevale Thursday. BOWLING TOURNAMENT On Thursday, July 7, a men's pairs bowling tourna- ment was held in Brussels. The winners -were: first, Ken Innes and Art Young; second, Reg Robinson; third, Harvey McCallum; fourth, Jim Coul- tes; fifth, Jim Broughton; consolation, Gerald Gibson. TOURNAMENT The Brussels Squirt Boys went to Blyth on Saturday to a ball tournament. The Brus- sels team is coached by Dave McCutcheon and Mel Mc- Cutcheon, The team won the trophy for the tournament. Their first game was play- ed at 9:00 and they beat Londesboro with a score of 13 - 5. At 12:00 they played a Goderich 1 team and won 4.0. They then played against another Goderich team and defeated them with a score of 10-5. Great work boys! The Bruss Is Junior Tigers played a tou ament iii Wrox- eter on S urday.
