Mks Rosemary Ryan has returned to Surrey H.C. after
holidaying at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Ryan.
Jim and Eva Brown returned home after attending the
Shriner's Convention in Sault Ste. Marie, also visiting Eva's
brother Ross Vincent and sister-in-law Cora in Dorian. They
also visited Walter Zatorskt and Karolfne Delskl in Thunder
Bay.
A swimming pool, temporarily installed in a downtown
parking lot, was the highlight of tenth anniversary
celebrations at the Queen's Hotel on the weekend. Ken Smith
Pools provided the pool and local swimmers used it Saturday,
says Joan Parkinson of the Queen's. A huge crowd visited the
hotel, including a few who wore their pyjamas for Friday
night's party. As well as the anniversary, the weekend's
events marked the grand opening of the Queen's new patio.
SING -A -LONG AT KILBARCHAN—Mlchelle McCowan and Jessica Mennell act out the
words while Kathleen Mallloux and Shelley Coughtrey sing a song for the seniors at
Kilbarchari Nursing Horne. The four students of St. James Separate School took time out
from their lunch hour to entertain the residents at their barbecue.

tute met at the home of Mrs.
R.J. Doig June 20. There had
been a change of meeting
time so that members could
attend the 50th anniversary
of the Seaforth Hospital
Auxiliary.
The roll call "Say some-

to your right" was answered.
Mrs. J. MacLean gave the
motto "Women as World
Citizens." Provincial Board
member, Mrs. John Tem-
pleman chose as her topic
Citizenship".

ETHEL JANE BONE
Ethel Jane Bone of Brus-
sels died June 20, 1983 at the
Callendar Nursing Home.
She was 87, the daughter of
the late Harry Sellers and
Sarah Hill. She was prede-
ceased by her husband, the
late George Bone, in 1975.
She is •survived by a
daughter, Dorothy McCauley
of Brussels and grandchild-
ren, Gerald of Brussels,
Donald of Goderich and
Hairy of Stratford. One great
1. grandson, Steven also sur-
vives.
She was predeceased by
one sister, Elizabeth, Mrs.
Mark Garniss of Wingham
and ihfeebrothers, Bill, Jack
and Percy Sellers.
Funeral services were held
Wed., June 22 from the ML
Watts Funeral Home, Brus-
sels. Interment in Brussels
Cemetery. Rev. Ken Innes
officiated.
Pallbearers were John Mc-
Arter, Earl Sellers; George
and Jack McCutcheon; Glen
Bone and Harry Garniss.

CLARA EUNICE KEYE,�`
Clara Eunice Keyes. 833 of
RR4 Seaforth, died Wednbs-'
day June 22, 1983 at the
Stratford General Hospital.
Born in Stanley Township,
she was the daughter of the
late James and Margaret
Reid.
She was predeceased by
her husband Wilber Keyes.
Surviving are her two
sons, Merton, of RR4. Sea -
forth and Stuart, of Bramp-
ton, one daughter. Ruth
Mrs. Morris Carter, of
Woodstock, one brother,
Fred Reid, of Clinton; also
six grandchildren. She was
predeceased by three bro-
thers, Leonard, Nelson.
Thomas and two sisters.
Mrs. Mamie Elliott and Mrs.
Ruth Mulholland.
Friends were received
after 2 p.m. Friday at the
Whitney-Ribey funeral home
Seaforth where a funeral
service was held Saturday at
2 p.m. Rev. James A.
Bechtel officiated. Burial fol-
lowed In Bayfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Watson
:Webster, Jack Mustard,
Bruce Keyes, Bob Elliott,
Glenn Keyes and Eric Mcln-
tosh.
Flower bearers were
Brenda Keyes, Caroline
Meg, David Cartel and
Mark Carter.
EVELYN SMITH
Evelyn Smith, a 14 -year
resident of Callender Nurs-
ing Home died Sunday, June
12, 1983 at the home.
Mass was held Wednesday
afternoon, June 15, at St.
Ambrose Roman Catholic
Church in Brussels. She was
buried in St. Ambrose Ceme-
tery. Father Jack Marintette
officiated.
MARTHA CATHERS
Martha Lathers of Gorrie
died in Fordwich Nursing
Home June 24, 1983 at the
age of 105 years. She was
predeceased by her husband
David in 1957.
A son Lloyd of Hanover
survives along with a step-
son, Wesley of Hamilton and
a stepdaughter, Jennie Vittie
of Wainfleet; 10 grandchild-
ren and several great-grand-
children.
She ..was predeceased by
four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held
from the Gorrie Chapel of the
M.L. Watts Funeral Home
on Tuesday, June 28. Rev.
Lloyd Martin officiated. In-
terment followed in Gorrie
Cemetery.
