Father Jack Marentette officiated. Julie Blake, sister of the bride was maid of honour, Marie Nolan, Shirley Laverty, Lois Williamson and Dianne Williamson were bridesmaids. Best man was Ken Pethick. Ushers were Bruce Blake, Ken Laverty, Phil Blake and Barry Blake. Organist was Michelle McCutcheon and soloists were Gail Moffett and Graeme Craig. The reception was held at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre. After their wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside at R.R. Walton were married in a double ring ceremony at St. Michael's Church. London on May 27, 1983. Father McCormick officiated. The bridal attendants were Lindsay Chute of Grand Bend, Dana Lindsay, Susan Acton, both of London, Dona Stuckey. Sarnia and Shelly Lefebvre of Sarnia as junior bridesmaid. The groomsman was Dean Cornish, London, and the ushers were Brian Murray, brother of the groom. Dennis Campbell, Seaforth and Bob Besterd of London. A reception followed at the Green Hills Country Club in Lambeth. The couple arc residing in London. Crowd at fiddlers' service in Hensall A large congregation at- tended the Annual Fiddlers Week -end Service at the Arena on Sunday morning with visitors from many parts of Ontario attending. The service, sponsored by the United Church. showed a marked increase in interest and attendance this year. The service has now been con- ducted for four years in conjunction with the Fiddlers Weekend. Rev. Stan McDonald con• ducted the service and Joyce Pepper led the music on the piano. The ushers were Ste- ven and .Jeffery Corbett and Sadie Hoy and Sheila Riley greeted the congregation. The message through musk was conducted by the ('hapel- aires of London. This gospel country group. considered one of the top groups in Canada. come from London and consists of Dave and Sheila Jackson, Rick Ash and Sandy MacGregor. Dave and Sheila are nephew and niece of Asa Deeves of Hensall. Next Sunday the service at the United Church will con- clude with an organ recital by the organist and choir director Marlin Nagtegaal, followed by a reception in honor of Mr. Nagtegaal. oN nt to` I ises and a staff of 26 teachers have been preparing lessons. crafts and related activities. SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY An open house was held in the Fellowship Hall of Hen• sail United Church on Sunday in honor of Joyce and Cecil Pepper's 25th wedding anni- versary. The room was de- corated for the occasion by `their daughters. A table was arranged with photographs. cards and gifts. The Hensall UCW served refreshments from decorated tables. Their attendants of 25 years ago were bridesmaid, Geraldine Eckel, hest man John Eckel and flower girl Sharon Medd. The anniver- sary cake was cut and served to over 100 guests. The wedding party and family. the bride's mother Mrs. Gladys Whittaker. Rev. Stan McDonald motored to Centralia and enjoyed dinner at Heywood's Restaurant. June 27 at 9:00 a.m. It was noted that an excellent pre- registration has been made and it is to be hoped that all children of the community will register by Monday morning.
