A special education con- sultant of progfams for gifted students, given approval in principle by the board when k passed its special educat- ion plan a year ago, will begin work September 1983. This consultant, yet to be hired, will be responsible for - assisting schools in providing classroom enrichment and the introduction of a county program for the gifted on a pilot basis for four years. The position of junior division consultant has.been eliminated as- the five year term has been completed.
