THE HURON EXPOSITOR, APRIL .13, 1983 CWAw4ahflrnnl@ITA CWL youth group looks for new members St. James C.W.L. met in St. James school Apyil 5, commencing with a pot luck supper and election of offi- cers. The spiritual reading was given by Mrs. Van Vincent. Father Caruana gave a report on the progress of Liturgy. which Mrs. Fran Craig is undertaking. In this past two weeks, she h,as brought out 10 new choir members, and hopefully more in the future. She is accomplishing this, by individual phone calls to every parishioner. Members are grateful to her for giving of her time and efforts. Miss Wilma Van Dyk is directing a youth group and the first meeting in March brought out 10 members. hopefully there will be more at this month's meeting, April 18, 7:30 at St. James School,' Students of high school age are encouraged to attend. Any ideas they may have. will be gratefully ac- cepted. Ken Miskiewicz, will be ordained as a priest in Hamil- ton on May 14. He will celebrate his first mass at St. Theresa's in Kitchener on May 15. Two more amaryllis bulbs are in bloom. They have been most spectacular with one spike attaining 40" in height and blooms measuring 10" across. Miss Ila Gardner's bulb had ten white blooms at one time. Easter Communion Wor- ship was held on Wednesday afternoon with Rev. T. Duke" of First Presbyterian Church in charge. Mrs. H. Brown was pianist. Rev. Duke had a most inspiring Easter mes'sage. Residents viewed the movie Huckleberry Finn Mr. Kelly Lamont spent Sunday with Miss Mary La- mont and also Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lamont. Viola Hemingway and Morris visited. with Mr. Fin- lay Ross last Friday. Spending the weekend at her home was Mrs. Ruth Noll with her husband Oscar in Palmerston.
