150 kids pack .library
to watch Mr. Magic
'there was standing room only in the
new downstairs children's library Friday.
The attraction, for about 150 people. aged
"from two months to 12 years" says
librarian Trudy Broome, was a magician,
Mr. Magic, from London.
The migic show was a great hit with all
ages. Although, Mrs. Broome says, the
magician was careful to explain to the tiny
ones in the audience that acts like the

Sunday the Zone meet-
ing was held at the Goderich
branch. with 10 branches
represented by about 85
delegates including 14 from
Seaforth. The meeting was
chaired by our Zone Com-
mander Bob Chapman of
Goderich. Committee chair-
men gave their reports of
what had been happening
around the Zone in the last six
months. Midway through the
meeting a presentation of the
Meritorious Service Medal
was made to Comrade Harold
Chambers of Goderich, by the
Goderich Branch. This is one
of. the Legion's highest
awards for service both to the
Legion and for community

In the election that were
held, Comrade Glenn Bridge
was elected by acclamation to
the post of Zone Coarnander.
For Deputy Zone Commander
two members were nomi-
nated, Jack Tufford from
Kincardine and Bill Wilbee
from Seaforth. After the
ballots were counted, it was
announced that Jack Tufford
had been elected and will be
the Dcputy Zone Commander
for the next two years. We
hope Comrade Bill will ,be
patient A•:d try again in wo
years. District Commander

trict Commander Lloyd An-
derson and their wives were
in attendance at the meeting
alone with Zone Commanders
and Deputy Zone Command-
ers of the other three zones in
