The meeting was chaired by our Zone Com- mander Bob Chapman of Goderich. Committee chair- men gave their reports of what had been happening around the Zone in the last six months. Midway through the meeting a presentation of the Meritorious Service Medal was made to Comrade Harold Chambers of Goderich, by the Goderich Branch. This is one of. the Legion's highest awards for service both to the Legion and for community service.. In the election that were held, Comrade Glenn Bridge was elected by acclamation to the post of Zone Coarnander. For Deputy Zone Commander two members were nomi- nated, Jack Tufford from Kincardine and Bill Wilbee from Seaforth. After the ballots were counted, it was announced that Jack Tufford had been elected and will be the Dcputy Zone Commander for the next two years. We hope Comrade Bill will ,be patient A•:d try again in wo years.
