ham. The first game of this
series was played in Seaforth

to Ayr in one day tournament
to ensure it. Everyone played
with persistence and with this
equal matching Hagarsville
scored at the 1:52 mark.
Tension mounted as Hag-
arsville had a break away but
John Moylan foiled any plan
to score. A, the end of the
third the score was 3-3.
The overtime period was a
sudden death flash finish
when Steve Papple scored
with Pat Maloney and Jason
Beuttenmiller assisting at the
9:27 mark. This was an
equally notched eame.
Seaforth met' Avr• at 2:00
p.m. There seemed to be less
chatter and drive in the
dressiug room.
In the first period, the Ayr
team pulled it together early
at the 9:54 mark to slip it by
John Moylan. John gathered
his wits about -him and foiled
any further .scoring in that
period. Seaforth couldn't find
a direct route to Ayr's goalie
and the score remained 1-0
for Ayr at the end of the first
period.
Second period started,with
doom and gloom. Ayr scored
at the 8:58 and 3:24 mark.
There was lots of encourage-
ment from the stands for the
green team but no breaks
again.
The third period was a
repetition of the first. Ayr
scored at the 5:14 mark and
didn't seem likely that Steve
Papple's shots were going to
go in when the buzzer went,
Seaforth had to concede that
time had run out. The final
score was 4-0 for Ayr.
