well and made a good effort. The

Between trying to write
and watching the "Winds of
War" on T.V. we are not

written. To most veterans,
watching this saga unfold on
the screen takes one back to
the years of our teens and
r twenties when one did not
know what the future would
bring and in what year or
years victory -would be won.
At an enormous cost in
material and lives and almost
six years later, Canada was at
peace again.

Comrade Tom Wilbee chair-

on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.
in the Legion Hall our yearly
public speaking competition
will be held. Winners will he
going to a speaking competi-
tion at Zone Level 'March 5 at
the Clinton Legion
On the sports and enter-
tainment scene chaitmen Jim
Watson and Jack Muir are
holding a mixed euchre Feb.
26. There will be a pot -luck
supper at 6:30 p.m. 1 believe,
then the euchre and a dance
afterwards. This should be a
very interesting evening, but
Jim would like your name on
the list hanging on the sports
board.

Walton, Rev. Charles Swan united in marriage Linda Marie
Jordan and Wayne Leslie Williamson. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan of Stratford. The
groom is the son of Helen Williamson, Walton and the late
Herbert Williamson. Neil and Doris Williamson, of Walton
were attendants for the couple. After a honeymoon trip to
Florida the couple will reside at RRI, Walton.
