To most veterans, watching this saga unfold on the screen takes one back to the years of our teens and r twenties when one did not know what the future would bring and in what year or years victory -would be won. At an enormous cost in material and lives and almost six years later, Canada was at peace again. We have a report from Comrade Tom Wilbee chair- man of youth education, that on Sunday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. in the Legion Hall our yearly public speaking competition will be held. Cleave Coombs reports that Service Officer Claire Wall will be at the branch at 9:30 a.m. on Monday,. Feb. 14. Please note the change in date and time. Unless 1 can come up with a volunteer, there will be no column for the next week or two. We are going for a holiday in the what we hope is the sunny south in Florida.
