Let not dark clouds bother you.
Look for the silver linin.
On Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 15, St. John's
Anglican Church will serve their pancake
supper. This annual event is looked forward
to each year. You will not want to miss those
"yummy," pancakes. If you do not care for
pancakes there is always something else to
tempt your appetite.
February is the month in which the Ontario
Heart Foundation conducts their campaign.
It is said that one in every seven adults has
high blood pressure. It should be treated for
high blood pressure is the leading contributor
to heart disease, stroke and kidney disease.
Have you had your blood pressure checked
recently. This is a worthy camp IIgn to
support. You may be a heart victim some day.
At last one of the major tabloids of London,
England has acknowledged that they have
"gone -too far" in invading the privacy of the
Royal Family and will stop doing so. The
Daily Star said they would immediately start
covering the Royal family "without intru-
cion" and wilt not print "rubbish". A story
"was also published in the paper on the "Truth
About Diana" and the state of her marriage
to Prince Charles. The article, the Star sea,
was to counter the "lies, rumours and
innuendo" printed about her. Diana, it said,
is blissfully happy with most aspects of her
life today and disputed suggestions that her
marriage is on the rocks. Rival tabloids were
skeptical and expressed doubt that the Star
will change at all. Buckingham Palace were
happy with the Star's announcement. May
we hope that the papers of other countries,
canaria ino oded will also cease to publish
"rubbish" about our Royal family.
Show our Brussels broomball teams fhat
you appreciate their sports. Attend the
Valentine Dance they are sponsoring this
Saturday. They provide some exciting games
for spectators and deserve your support.
On Monday, Feb. 14, you can enjoy a
relaxing afternoon at the Morning Star
Rebekah Lodge Dessert Euchre. Treat
yourself to those so -good desserts and
friendly games of cards.
