Miss Regina Van Bakel, daughter of Theo. and Rika Van Bakel was honoured at a miscellan- eous bridal shower given by Mrs. Mary Ann Verberne and Mrs. Chris McClure at St. Columban school. Friends, relatives and neighbours attended and participated in some get acquainted contests after which Mary Ann Verberne read an address and Reg was presented with gifts. Reg was assisted in opening the gifts by her mother Mrs. Van Bakel and the groom's mother Mrs. Whyte, Reg will become the bride of Bill Whyte of R.R. 2, Seaforth on 'April 9. Twelve tables were in play at the Knights of Columbus euchre tournament in the K. of C. Hall in St. Columban on Friday night. The winners were: Mrs. Pat Delaney, Theo Van Bakel and Roy Swart. Mrs. Connol- ly returned to Windsor with her daughter where she will spend the next two weeks. Misses Barbara and Mary Feeney of Stratford spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ferg Feeney. Miss Barb Duffy of Guelpj+ spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Duffy.
