He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 396 in Chippawa. He was a past president and life member of the Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen and an active member of Chippawa Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel F. Ellah; three sons, David, of Burling- ton, Charles, of Fayetteville, N.C. and Harold of Thames - ford. and two daughters, Diane, of London, and Jo- anne, Mrs. Kennetii Orr of Aurora. Funeral was held from the chapel of -Hetherington and Deans Friday Jan. 28. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
