He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 396 in Chippawa. He was a past president and life member of the Stamford Centre Volunteer Firemen and an active member of Chippawa Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel F. Ellah; three sons, David, of Burling- ton, Charles, of Fayetteville, N.C. and Harold of Thames - ford. and two daughters, Diane, of London, and Jo- anne, Mrs. Kennetii Orr of Aurora. Funeral was held from the chapel of -Hetherington and Deans Friday Jan. 28. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Born in Wallace Township, he is survived by his wife, the former Loretta (Rita) Har- grave and by children, C ton of Elmira; Norris THE HURON EXPOSITOR, FEBRUARY 2, 1983 — A15 Winfield, B.C.; Elaine of Carcross, Yukon Territories; and Gordon of Gorrie. Seven - grandchildren, four sisters and a brother also survive. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. Funeral services for the late Mr. Ash were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Gorrie Chapel of the M.L. - Watts Funeral Home. Rev. Jennings officiated. Burial will follow in Listowel Ceme- tery.
