Friday they travelled to Clinton,
w e the whole team skated and
check • hard. Seaforth took the lead
the 4;33 mark of the first period
with a goal scored by Mike Schoonder-
woerd and assisted by Terry Gray and
Don Brown. Shortly afterwards Clin-
ton tied It up, but bolero the period
ended Terry Gray and Steve Schroe-
der
chroyder had each scored a goal to put
Seaforth In the lead 3-1. Clinton again
tied It up In the second period.
Both teams played eautlouely In the
third period, until Terry Gray scored
again to put Swlorth In the lead and
ending the game 4-3 for Seaforth.
Saturday Sealorth was not as lucky
as they hooted Wingham and played a
very good game. Wingham took the
lead early In the first period but
Seaforth tied It up with a goal by Blair
Beuermann, assisted by Brad Beut-
tenmlller before the period ended.
Mike Schoonderwoerd aaalsted by
Blair Beuermann and Gordle Q'Dwyer
put Seaforth in the lead In the second
period. The good goaltending of Bill
Tremeer and the teamwork of the
team helped Seaforth to maintain
their lead Into the third period.
Then at 7:47 of the third period
Wingham lied the game and getting
new iife from this, the visitors scored
two more unanswered gaols to end the
game 4-2 In Wingham'e favour.

SEAFORTH MIDGETS
On Jan. 25 Seatorth Midgets
hosted Wingham. As usual the game
was fast- moving with both teams
exerting a good effort. Derek Cooper
came up with some excellent seven.
Wingham managed to score two In
the I Irst period and 'Coop' blanked
them In the second.
In the third period Make Schwarz
made some excellent saves as well,
allowing only two goals.
First gimlet the ga was scored by
Greg Murray male by Kevin
Malady and David Mc 'twain. Cam-
eron of Wingham rota laced within
one minute. Kevin Malady scored
next assisted by Dave and Greg.
Fourth goal was scored by Dave,
assisted by Malady. Wingham tallied
another marker.

In the last two minutes Oave sooned
two, the first assisted by Melody and
Murray, the last by Scott Driscoll and
Murray.
In the third period Wingham
surged back with one peal In the that
minute of play. Seaforth rebounded
with another goal from Dave
McLlwaln assisted by Murray and
Scott. Cameron sowed again unesslst-
ed to end the scoring of the game.
Final score was Seaforth 6 and
Wingham 4.

• On Tuedday, January 26 the
South London Bantams c+uns here for
an exhibition game. Thee was • game
filled with penalties and the score
ended In a 7-7 Ile.
Leading the acoring for Seaforth
was Jeff Reld-2 goals and 1 assist and
Trevor Price 2 goals and 2 assists. Pat
Murray scored 1 goal and 1 Istat.
Mike Boniest goal, and Scott Driscoll
1 goal and 2 assists.
David Akey, Chris Canino, Ron
Pryce and Brian Dupuis each picked
up one assist and Mark Stapleton
pecked up 2 assists.
NOVICE ROUNDUP
On Saturday, January 22 Sea-
forth
eaforth travelled to Mitchell to meet
their match. The legs seemed too
short, the sticks goatees and team
steam heavily weighted on the Mit-
chell side.
With John Moylan In goal Mitchell
seemed to make goal scoring look
easy. Steve P. scored the only
Sealorth goal unassisted. Mike Coyne
showed hie aggressive side and
Kenny Hildebrand came through with
a great game.
The final score Of the game was 9-1
for Mitchell.
Saturday, January 29 saw Brussels
meet Seaforth at the centre Ice.
Brussels scored at the 1 min. hall
mark. After Jason B.'s third break-
away he scored. At the end of the first
period the score was 2-1.
In the second period John Moylan
showed his aklll. Steve P. scored with
Michael Watt assisting but Brussels
did a match up and the scorewas3'2 at
the end of the second.
Thomas Wheatley played a good
defensive and poke check game but
Brussels showed the 0k111 with 2 more
goals. Pat Maloney was doing his
Part
The final score of the Brussels game
was 5-2.
Curling news
Several people have been
curling in competition out of
the Seaforth Curling, Club.::
The mixed rink of Gord and
Irma Pryce and Mike and
Marilyn Thomas won the
zone but lost to a Port Elgin
rink at division level.
The Colts rink representing
the club were Jerry Hether-
ington, Keith Siemon, Tim
Collyer and Laurie Fisher.

of Gord Pryce, Bill Campbell,
Mike Thomas and Dave Ste.
Marie were defeated in sub-
division playdowns in Wing -
ham.
The Masters rink of Dave
Cornish, John Patterson Sr.,
Gord Beuttenmiller and Oli-
ver Pryce won the zone in
Vanastra and will play for
division 13 on Feb. 6 in
Teeswater.
Several in club playdowns
have to be played off to decide
final winners. Winning the
first draw for the ladies was
the rink of Irma Pryce with
Sharon Wilson vice, Lois
King second and Maryann
McNichol lead. To complete
the ladies' first draw, a social
hour was held on the final day
of ladies' curling at the home
of Sharon Wilson. Everyone
greatly enjoyed the hospital-,
ity and the hogged rocks
results.
Several spiels have already,
been enjoyed this curling
season with many more to
come.
Coming up at the club is the
Bean Spiel on Feb. 5. Also the
spiel sponsored by Rowcliffe
Motors and Seaforth Insur-
ance .on Feb. 19. Telephone
Bill Lobb for entries.
Winter activities planned
Regardless of snow con-
ditions, winter enthusiasts
will enjoy the fun -filled activi-
ties at Parkhill Conservation
Area on Sunday. Feb. 6. The
'Ausable-Bayfield Conserva-
tion Authority is once again
sponsoring.the annual Winter
Fun Day at the Conservation
Area.
If snow conditions are
suitable, snowmobile and
downhill innertube races as
well as sleighrides are all
scheduled. In addition. cross-
country skiers will be able to
use the ski trails at the
Conservation Area. If how-
ever. "green ground' condi-
tions force cancellati n of
these activities partic ants
