A family dinner was held at the Seaforth Legion Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Hiusser were married on January 11, 1923 at the Egmondville Church Manse by the late Rev. D. McDonald. Mrs. Hiusser is the former Leona Pearson, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pearson of Seaforth, while Mr. Hiusser is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hiusser of Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. Hiusser have a family of two sons and five daughters, all of whom were home to share in their parents' celebration. The Hiussers now have 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Coombs. She is assisted by Seaforth captains Melinda Beuerman,Barb Caldwell, Lois Hodgert and Lois King. In Harpurhey Carol Baker is captain, while Egmgndville captains are Ruyh Pepper and Carol MacLean. Treasurer is Margaret Sharp and Loreen Dale .. is publicity chairman. A comprehensive report of the annual O.H.A. conven- tion in Toronto was presented by President Mrs. Shirley Dinsmore and Mrs. Carol Hoelscher. Plan§ for the 50th anniversary celebration of the hospital are in progress and a tea will be held sometime in May to raise funds for this. Fireside group meets • The Fireside Fellowship Group of First Presbyterian Church met with a small attendance. The new president, Mable McMichael. opened the meeting. In the absence of the secretary, Henrietta Brown, Jean Keyes read the minutes. • The treasurer's report was read by Ted Cosford. • Edith McMillan read a poem and scripture. Bob McMillan led in prayer. Rev. Duke showed a film "Hear the Good News", based orr the work of the Presbyterian Church in Can- ada. Dorothy Scott conducted a game of quick wit until lunch was served. Also several thank you letters from Christmas. A birthday party is planned for Huronview and a social evening at the Manor is being planned for near Valentine's Day. A silent auction is planned for the May meeting. A reading "Not learned from books" was given by Mrs. Sam Scott. A contest by Mrs. Jessie MacGregor was enjoyed by all.
