Parents, grandparents, children and
friends en}oyed seasonal entertainment on
December 20• when the primary children of
St. Columban School, under the .direction of
their teachers, presented' their annual
Christmas concert in the -the St. Columban
church hall.
Tricia Jansen, master of ceremonies,
welcomed the large crowd who came out
on a very cold wintery Afternoon and
evening.
The program opened with the school
choir singing "The Marvellous Toy", "Nut -
tin' For Christmas", "Mission" and "C is
for The Christ Child" directed by Mrs.
lylcereight.
The Kindergarten Stars presented "A
Rainbow Christmas".
A play "Chrishnas in the Shoe" was per-
formed by Grade Two.
The Kindergarten Sims entertained with
two songs "If I Could Find Old Santa
Claus" and "Dance Around the Christmas
Tree".
A play "Santa's Tree" was done by
Grade one and two in which they had a
problem deciding on a decoration for the

Grade One sang three songs "Five Lit-
tle Reindeer", "Guess 'Who" and "Jingle
-Bells" "Christmas Trees" and Grade One
sang "Silver Bells" and recited "The
Christmas 'Story" which brought the con-
cert to a close.
Patsy Crowley accompanied the children
on the piano for their practices and
concert.
In conclusion Don Farwell, principal,
thanked the teachers and Patsy for their
effort and time in preparing the children
for the enjoyable entertainment and to
everyone for coming out.
SMALL PART2'
On Friday evening, December 15, a
small party and coneert was held at the
home of Paul and Linda Murray.
Entertainment in the form of dance,
song, and verse were provided by their
grandchildren, Grant, Patte lo, Trevor and
Shaelyn Ward, Their nieces and nephews,
Christa, Jeff, Kevin, Karen and 'Melissa
Murray and their neighbours Niekie and
Bradley Crawford. Also Grandpa Murray
entertained with a tune on the fiddle
Following refreshments a jolly visitor,
claiming to be from the North Pole and
travelling by means of flying reindeer,
made his appearance bearing a stocking of
candy for each of the children.

The Ladies Aid of First Presbyterian
Church in Seaforth, held its final meeting
of the year on December 5, Ten members
and two guests attended a pot luck dinner,
which preceded the meeting.
President Mary Riley opened the
meeting with prayer and a reading, "God's
Love Letter to the World". Congratulations
to Dorothy Papple and Mary ,McClure.

ed as exactly the same as 1989
Some business matters were discussed.
Alice Reid gave the treasurer's report and
was in charge of the scripture readings.
Mary Riley conducted a Christmas contest
and Marjorie Dale gave a reading, "A
