A by-law to prohibit or regulate signs
and other advertisinggn devices in the
Town of Seaforth, has been sent back to
the Planning and Advisory committee for
further study, after comments made at a
.public meeting.
Tuckersmith Township may be getting
rural garbage pickup. Warren Bennewies
attended the June 13 meeting of council to
ask the councillor's permission to send let-
ters to rural ratepayers, to determine how
many would be interested in regular
pickup.
Looking over its waterworks and elec-
trical financial statements, the, Seaforth
Public Utilities Commission can report a
fruitful 1988.
Nobody was more surpised than
Seaforth's Dave McElwain when he was
traded by .the Pittsburgh Penguins tp the
Winnipeg Jets. McLlwain and teammates
Randy Cunneyworth and Rick Tabaracci,
were part of a three man exchange with
the Jets during pre -draft trade action.
The Town of Seaforth has drafted a
policy for hookups to the Seaforth Se*Nage
System by residents of George Street South
in Tuckersmith Township, and will cir-
culate that policy to Tuckersmith Council
for approval.
