Gerald (Gerry) Doyle was born in
Dublin, Ontario on November 28, 1899. 'He
is -the last -survivorof mine members of the
Michael Doyle and Bridget Mtuphy fami-
ly. Mike Doyle was the village ,blacksmith
in Dublin and sold had to Jim Kramikopf
Sr. about 1904.
Gerry was very active in sports. He
played football for St. Columban and
hockey for the old Seaforth Beavers. At
this time he remembers tie team mate;;
Joe Sills ("He was quite a fighter"), Gor-
don and Ott Dick.
He left St. columban in 1940 for Tucson,
Arizona hophig that the etiolate would help
his wife's health (Angela Ryan of MSit-
ebell). He eked for his first cousin, Jack
Mulcahy of 98nksihy l.nmtwr Yard in Tuc-
son. Three first cousins , (sons of three
Murphy sisters I worked together at
Mulcahy's Jack Mnfrahy, son of Hanna
Dennis Molyneaus (brother of Ed. Ohio
and Tom of Dublin) sons of Catherine
(Grandma Molyneaux 1 and Gerry, san of
Bridget.
There are some first consols of Gerry's
left, Sister 'Theodore (Margaret Doyle) The
Pines Chatham", Nell and Ted in Dublin
and Frank in Scarborough. SAME, nieces
and nephews are Joe Downy's chidren of
Gerry's sister Mary, and Prank Jordan's
children of his aider Kate, and older
brothers' children in U.S_A.
Gerry's health is reasonably good for his
90 years His bands are arthritic (can't
write) and he doesn't need nor wear a
hearing aid. His mind and memory is
razor sip. He talks fondly and lovingly -
of all the me -1900 formation families of
Dublin, St. Cobrmhan and Seaforth and
their families that fella -wed. ,He remembers
who married whom and remarkably names
their offspring one after another. "There
was John and Tom, Margaret, Frank and
Mary etc."
