Christmas should the a time to be thankful for peace, joy and happiness. It also means Santa Pilaus, presents and families all ove the world getting together and having fun. Christmas is also Jesus's lbirthday. That is the reason why -we celebrate the holiday Christmas. The gifts -that we receive that day would really be his. For he is Christ the Lord. And that's what Christmas is: Tara McLellan Grade 6 Seaforth Public School TRE FUTURE CHRISTMAS 'TREE In future Christmases, instead of evergreen A beautiful tree made of silver is seen. Around it will 'be ,wrapped a bow of star shaped lights That automatically turn on with the darkness of .night. With little fairies dancing about, around each star short and stout. Dasher." So Mrs. Claus put up a sign tor elves The next day there were a whole bunch of elves waiting to get a job. Santa needed 18 to 20 elves and there were 30 elves, so Santa asked a whole lot of questions and hired all 30 as he needed all the elves he could get. Bashful came and took Dashers place. Then on Christmas eve it became real- ly foggy and the elves kept tripping over everything and everybody. Santa couldn't see past the end of his nose. Roudolf's light wasn't bright enough any more since he'd grown up but luckily he had a son and he got to lead the sleigh. He saved Christmas. My brother wants everything in the Christmas Wish Book. We are only allowed to get two things for Christmas. This Christmas 1 want a tractor with a haybine behind it. My brother and I always get up before morn and dad. After, we open our presents we go to our grandma and grandpa's house. Then when all of the family get together to celebrate Christmas. Always grandpa goes downstairs and hides the presents. Sometimes we get big presents sometimes we get small presents. When Evan is called he runs up fast. And that is about our Christmas together! Nolan St. •Patrick's, Dublin THE ELVES WHO SEPT 'THROUGH CHRISTMAS It was two days away from Christmas and Santas elves were tired. Santa was afraid that the toys would not be ready on time. He tried to wake them up but he just couldn't, 'The next day came but the elves were still tired. Then Santa decided to help them for he knew. that his elves would not get all of the toys made no time. He work- ed and worked and worked. Finally he was done. He sat down in a chair and polish- ed h:s boats. The next shay came, Santa eke up and was surprised to see that his seed was full of toys. Then he opened his door and was also surprised to see that,his the elves awake, Bfore he knew it, it -was time to leave the North Pole. He gave a gift to every good boy and girl, Mrs. Claus was very happy to see Santa back from his trip. Christine Rock Grade 4 G/J Seaforth Public School CHRISTMAS 11 all started like this. Santa was about to make his rounds. That jolly old man went to las sled and found that the ski was off. Santa hurried to get his screws and nails to put on that ski. Then hitched up the sled Rudolph's nose stopped glowing so Santa put a red light on Dancer. Then a way they went. Down one chimney with a bag of toys, eating a cookie here and there he went. Donw •a nother chimey and got stuck and his elves came to help him out by sawing that chimney. Then they went home but it is just a story Dit could it happen? by Gilbert Grade 8 Seaforth Public School LOST IN NEW YORK On Christmas Eve Santa was delivering gifts in New York. Rudolph said, "Where are we Santa?" Santa said, "I have no idea." Rudolph started to cry. "Oh don't cry!" said Santa, "Lets land!" "Okay." said Rudolph. They went to a restaurant to eat. They were hungry as usual. They started on .their way again. They -ended up going around the block about twenty times. "Oh! Santa will we ever get home?" Of course we will, said -Santa. They final- ly made it home. Mrs. Claus said, "You're home early." "We got lost in some place called New York or something like that, said Santa. You got lost in New York!" said Mrs. haus. 'But ,what -about all those little boys and girls that didn't get anything." -"They can hire a .new Santa Claus," said Santa. "I'm never going back to that place again." And ,he .didn't.
