Patterson 522-2040 SHAUN ANSTETT, SPS, GR. 6 ELVES TAKE OVER One week before Christmas Santa lost his mind. We thought back and remembered when someone very suspicious came to the workshops. We never saw him before. Finally Santa said something, "When does Easter come?" We were all wondering. The Master elf said, "Who ever did this all all all all kick him one." Another one said, "If Santa doesn't snap out of it before Christmas we will have to take over" Pip pip pip pip. pip - the whistle blew! "Back to work" said Master Elf. They all went back hard at work. Soon it was bed time. The Master elf THE ELVES ARE ON STRIKE It was two weeks before Christmas. • "What are we going to do?" said Santa. "We don't have enough toys" said Mrs. Claus, "And almost all the elves are going on strike." "Why?" "They all want to be my Assistant," said Santa. "Tell them to come in." "All right I'll try." "Now elves it is two weeks before Christmas and we don't have many toys made. Does it real- ly matter if there is an assistant? because you all are," said Mrs, Claus. "What do you mean?" asked the elves. "Well yqu all make .toys and one of you can't say I made that toy, because you all did," said Mrs. Claus. "That's right," said all the elves." Come on let's get to work!" said other elf. They worked and worked. All of the sudden Mrs, Claus and Santa Claus heard a big bang. "What was that?" they said. Ten toys were broken and the elves were fighting ,again. "Stop it at once" said Santa. "Why are you fighting?" "We have worked for a long time", said an elf. You're not going to quit are you?" "Yes," said two elves, "Why not?" There isn't an assistant. "All an assistant does is help" me pack -up on Christmas Eve. "You all do the .toys together," said Santa. That night two elves ran away. In the morning Santa found two notes. One note said: I can't stand the fights, and I don't want to hear one either. That is why I ran away. Before Santa read the other note he ran into the workshop and said, "Elves if there is any more fighting there will be no elves left, you will all run away." Then he went in to his room to read the other letter. It said: Dear Santa I broke the ten toys, I'm no good so I ran away! That night was Christmas Eve and Santa went on his journey. He came back with the two Elves that ran away. And from then on there was no more fighting. Julianne Crowley, St. Patrick's, Dublin A PRESENT WAITS FOR CHRISTMAS I can't wait till Christmas. I will be used a lot. I have to get all my energy charg- ed up. I can drive around. Can you guess what I am ? I AM A BIG TRUCK by Joey Staples St. Patrick's, Dublin said, "I'll stay up to see if the suspicious man comes back." They all went to sleep. • q q In the morning the Master elf went to check on Santa. Santa said, "Rub rub rub I'm in the tub. q q q Want to join me I'm in the tub." "Oh boy," said Master elf. He will never snap out of it in one day." • • q The next morning the Master elf went to check on Santa and there was a note on him. It said, "Santa can't snap out of it until 12:00" Oh no now we will have to take over." AN ALIEN? One Christmas Eve Santa was flying over Ottawa when he lost his reins. He landed right in the sewers. He was out cold for about 3 hours. When he woke up he saw a creature some sort of half man and half rat thingamajig. First he shook his head, then he screamed. "I .am Splinter, a friend." Just then Santa fainted. When he woke up he could smell pizza. When he got in there he saw four turtles. One said, "Hi I'm the leader Leeonardo. Another said, "I. do machines. I am Donatello.." The third one said "I'm Robile." And the last one said, "I'am a party dude, Michealangelo." Then Santa remembered his mission. He said "What time is, it?" "It's time you were going." So the four turtles took Santa across the world and every house they passed one of the four turtles would jump out and go down the chimney. It was a happy Christmas after all. • Jeff VanBakel Grade four St. Patrick's, Dublin SANTA ON THE MOON Santa got lost in the sky and hit the moon. And no one could help them because Rudolph's nose ran out of light. So they were stuck on the'moon. They saw a light. It was Mrs. Claus. She pulled them off the moon. They were safe again. And all the kids on earth were happy again. Danny Cronin Grade 5 St. Patrick's, Dublin TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS Twas the night before Christmas and all through the town. Everyone was happy not even a clown. I looked out the window and down the street. No one was there not even a peep. I said goodnight to my dog fred. And crowded into bed. And visions of rain deer jumped in my head. When I woke up Christmas day. The children were happy and shouting hooray. Kevin Malolo Grade 8 St. Patrick's, Dublin That night the elves got Santa's sled ready to go. Santa came out in a Jim suit and said, "Trick or treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat - Not too big not too small, just the size of "Oh brother", Said Master Elf. "I won't be long. Mrs. Claus stay here with goof ball Santa while we're gone. Let's go we want to get a head start." q q q After the elves were finished it was after 12:00. Soon it was 12:30 so they all said, "Well well I hope he is all better now." They went inside to see him. Santa said, "What in tarnation am I doing in this Jim suit?" "You lost your mind," said Master Elf. "How did I do that," said Santa. "It's a long story Santa a long story. SANTA GOES SURFING Santa was going to Florida for his vaca- tion and he brought Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and a couple of his elves with him. He also brought his surf board so he could go sur- fing. As soon as they got there Mrs. Claus and two elves unloaded the luggage. San- ta and Rudolph went down to the pool to go for a swim. Santa had to teach Rudolph how to swim. After they went in the pool they went to the beach and Santa brought his surf board and Rudolph and the two elves brought their surf boards too. They were all a little rusty at; first but then tbey were just_ moving. After :a while he got a tan on the beach. All the people on the beach said, "There's Santa Claus." The next day Santa and Rudolph went to Walt Disney World and Epcot Center. They went on all the rides free then they rented a car and went Over the Sunshine bridge. They had to go home. Santa got lots of food some toys and lots of souvenirs for all the elves. Then Santa got his suit on and they had a marvelous time. Chad Verberne Grade 4 St. Patrick's, Dublin THE PAINFUL LIFE OF A CHRLSTMAS TREE I am the Christmas tree and I am sitting in my box waiting for somebody to buy me. Wait, here comes a couple and thier little three year old. They want to buy me!! I was so excited because I was go- ing to live in somebodies home. The Hirst thing they did to me was take me out of my box and that was painful. They threw parts of my body in every which direction. Then the little kid picked up my leg and started to play swords with the wall and that didn't feel too good. The Smith's put me up and boy did I look good. The part I feared most was just about to happen the cat came racing around the corner and ran up my body. The cat thought there was birds in my tree, and all of a sudden I fell over and bruised my head and fell apart again. The family put me back together and decorated me nice. All I had to wait for now was until I had to go back into the black, dreaded closet until next Christmas eve.
