MULTI WINNER - Becky Campbell of RR 5 Seaforth won three awards at the re-
cent Huron County 4-H Awards night. The first from Topnotch Feeds Limited, is
awarded to the top novice beef showman al the Seaforth Fair. The second, 'the
Huron Hereford Association trophy. is awarded to the member exhibiting the Cham-
pion Hereford Calf at the Seatorth Fair, and the third, the Huron Cattlemen's
Association Award, is donated by the Huron Cattlemen's Association to the fust
year beef club member with the highest score. Presenting Becky with her awards

The two teams of dart players who went
to Braise1s to play in the Zone Dart tour-
nament did not fair too well. One team
won three games while the other one won
two .games. Darts are a game of skill
although a little luck can go a long way.
Maybe Seaforth teams will do better next
year. There are a lot of younger players
coming out to play now on Saturday
afternoon.
This .Sattanday the Doig .family is holding
a birthday .party for Paul Doig who will be
celebrating hisa0th birthday. The Branch
would like to convey their congratulations
to Paul wbo is a First War Veteran and
member of the Seaforth Branch. Comrade
Paul is now a resident of Parkwood
Hospital in London. The Party will be held
upstairs between the hours of two and
four. We hope you have many more bir-
thdays Paul and continue in good health.
On.Sunday at 2 pm the annual children's
Christmas party is being held. Santa will
be arriving sometime in the afternoon with
his -usual bag of goodies for the kids.
Please let Barbara Scott know as soon as
possible this week if one of your children
would like to sing, dance, recite or play an
instrument.
For :the next stag euchre to be held next
Wednesday, December 20 the prizes will be
Christmas turkeys for the winners.

FIELD AND CROP CLUB • Barbara Fotheringham of RR 4 Seaforth was the reci-
pient of the Huron County Soil and Crop Improvement Association Award. donated
by the Huron County Soil and Crop Improvement Association to the top member
in the Huron County 4-H Field Crop Club Miss Fotheringharn w -on the award this
year with 880 out of a possible 1,000 points. Art Bolton, President of the Soil and
Crop Association presented her with her award at the Huron County 4-H Awards

helping with the Bingo, thanks also to the
bingo players who came out to play bingo.
Don't forget the .Executive meeting this
Thursday at" 8 pm. Cribbage Monday
nights, darts Saturday afternoon at 2 pm
and mixed couples in the evening at 7:30
pm.
There are still tickets available for the
New Year's dinner and dance.
The members of the Branch would like
to extend their sympathies to the Hulle}
family in their loss of a loved one. A
Legion Memorial service was held last Fri-
day evening.
They grow not old as we that are left
grow old. Age shall not weary them nor
the years condemn. At the going down of
the sun and in the morning we will
remember them.

The .St. ,Thomas Anglican {Church
Women's' Meeting was held -at -the -haute of
Dorothy Hays. The:nieeting was preceded
by a. pot luck:supper and ,the Roll Call was
"Your Most Favorite Christmas Memory".
Readings were .given by Barb Palin and
Sandra Lee. Gifts were presented to be
send .to the residents of St. Monica's in
Kitchener.
A -report was given on the Christmas
Bazaar. Once :again ,the women put forth a
great effort .in making this a success.
Frances Teeters thanked all those who
helped .in anY way in making this Bazaar
such a:success.
A .Social Service report was given by
Elsie Dinsmore. Shirley Dinsmore won the
Mystery Prize.
The.January meeting will be held at .the
home of Dorothy Bays. .Chairperson is
Audrey -McLean and Devotions are in the
charge of Lois Scoins and Marion
MacLean. Artificial corsages and Poinset-
tias .are to be ,given as gifts to
Parishioners not ,able .to attend the special
-services;throughout the holidays. Following
the :;meeting, :dinner :plans and .ar-
rangements :were :made :by committee
members?Shirley Dinsmore,and Barb Palin
for ;the :Seaforth -Lioness -Party ;to be held
at the -Parish Hall.
'The ,Altar Guild .ladies ,attending ,thus
meeting :were ,informed that Friday,
December 6; ,theidecorating .for the holiday
season •,would ,be :done.

Roast=lieef Dinner held:at:St."Thomas, but
themmeal,was certainly enjoyed:by a.great
number •of ,people. To .the convenors Peg

NOVICE AWARD The Warden's Novice Award, donated by Dave Johnston.
Warden of Huron County for 1989. was awarded .December 1 to Janet
Vandenhoven of RR 4 Seaforth. Janet is a member of the Chnforth-4-H Dairy Call
Club, and obtained the highest standing on the basis of awards in Huron County.
She scored 933 out of a possible 1.000 points. She received her award from Grant

hand made by the children and interwoven
in a story fashion until the tree was com-
pletely decorated, along ,with .the singing of
carols. To. Joan Spittal and all her Sunday
School teachers and especially the children
"thank you" from all the parishioners for
a special service.
On December 14, (Thursday) the Board
Meeting will be held an the -Pariah Hall
preceded by a Pot Luck Supper to com-
mence ,at 6:30 pen. December 17 Will be
the Carol Service, to start at 11 o'clock,
please note for .this Sunday only :the
change .in the time.
Following the Carol Service a hot: dinner
will be served to ,all church members at-
tending. 'They are asked .to .bring Pot Luck
Dessert only. Everything :else -,will ,be !pro-
