On Sunday, November 26 the Feast of St.
Columban, Parish Patron, The Feast of
Christ the King and Solemn First Commu-
nion were celebrated at the 10 a.m. Mass
at St. Columban Catholic Chruch with
Father J. Hardy, celebrant.
Six children from the parish celebrated
together their First Holy Communion. They
are: Brian Eckert, son of Tom and Jean
Eckert; Tricia Jansen, daughter of Rudy
and Judy Jansen; Jared Murray, son of
Dan and Sharon Murray; Jeff Murray, son
of Ken and Ann Murray; Katie Murray,
daughter of Brian and Wendy Murray and
Jason Ryan, son of Gerry and Karen
Ryan.
Following mass the children were
presented with a certificate and prayer
book from Father Hardy and Mary Anne
Feeney presented them each with a rosary
from the Catholic Women's League.
Also following mass over 200 people en-
joyed a special breakfast of pancakes and
sausages in the church basement with the
men doing the cooking.
TURKEY BINGO
The Father Stephen Eckert Council of
the Knights of Columbus held its annual
turkey bingo on Sunday evening in the St.
Columban Church hall with a large crowd
attending.
Twelve games for turkeys and four
share -the -wealth games were played. The
turkey winners were: Paul McKay, Louis
Maloney, Fran O'Reilly, Hazel McGonigle,
Mary McMillan, Brenda Kenny, Jerry
Murray, Nell Doyle, Lorraine Porter, Mary
VandenHengle, Barbara Rau and Rachel
Riehl. Consolation prizes went to Betty Kit -
tar, Louis Maloney, Marie Palin, Annie
Cronin, Marie Hicknell, Bill Murphy and
Marg O'Reilly.
Share -the -wealth games were won by
Terri Brandon, Theresa Sommerville,
Angela Denomme and Annie Cronin.

CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Nolans held their annual Christmas'
party at the Red Maple Dining Lounge,
Monkton on Sunday, November 26. Those
attending were Vincent Murray and Louis
Nolan of R R Seaforth; Joe and Helen
Nolan, St. Columban, James Nolan of St.
Thomas; Vincent and Mary Ellen Nolan,
Ann and Bill Stockie, Helen and Bruce
Miehm and Pat and Wilfred Hartleib all of
Kitchener.
PEOPLE
Catherine Ann Miller of Strathroy and
Mary Lou Staples of Dublin visited on Sun-
day with their father Joe Lane,
Laura, Les and Shannon Ward and Jim
and Pat Subject and family of Kitchener
visited on Sunday with Cecilia Ryan and
Gerry and Karen Ryan and family
Valeria Pena from Quito, Ecuador in
South America spent the weekend with
Jim, Janneke, Morgan and Michelle
Murray.
4-H NEWS
The McKillop IV 441 members finished
the Home and Farm Safety club on
Wednesday, November 22. They attended
the achievement night program held at the
Clinton Town Hall. Constable Marshall off
the O.P.P. spoke on drug and alcohol
abuse and Fred Lobb and Steve Cook
spoke on fire in the home and showed a
video of a fire racing through a home.
The members and the parents learned a
lot. Sharon Kelly thanked the speakers.
Congratulations go to Susan Stewart for
having completed six clubs and very
special honors go to Karen Murphy for
completing her 18th club. Morgan Murray
received an award for being the top
member in the club.
Cora and Janneke have decided to tem-
porarily retire from leading 4-H and the
club is looking for two new leaders to take
over for the spring project. Please consider
this worthwhile cause.

the Provincial Assembly in the Valhalla
Inn, Kitchener on Saturday November 18.
Sixteen tables were in play on Friday
night for the Foresters' euchre with win-
