Thursday 'Nighters
The Thursday Nighters had a night of
upsets Novemeber 23 and the result pro-
mises to make coming weeks even more
exciting. With seven points awarded in
each weekly match up there are now four
of six teams within one point of each
other. The other teams are also within
reach of joining the race.
The Bears provided the biggest upset of
the night taking all seven points from first
place Guttercats and leaving them one
point out of first place. The Bears were led
by Karl Teichert with 292/729. Dan Ben-
newies added a 290/691 showing and Pat
Deighton had a 215.
Other than Michelle Deighton's personal
season high 208, the Guttercats put in a
dismal performance. In fact Michelle had

risson and Rob Core, "who bagged the in-
surance goal with just 1:23 left ;in the

n close contest
the team's only game over 200 for the
night.
Last place Beatlejuice also had another
good night taking five of seven points from
the Wildcats. The main reason for the suc-
cess was the hot arm of Brian Dale who
recorded an impressive 247-287-258 (792).
Neil Beuerman added a 240 and Eric Mat-
zold a 232.
The Wildcats finally found their stride in
the third game to salvage two points for
the night. Big game for the team was
recorded by John Aubin with 233, Don
Deighton added a 215 and Gary Bedard a
212. The two points was enough to again
grab a share of first place.
Highway 401 won five of seven from the
Ballbangers to move into a second place
tie. Highway 401 managed the win on the
strength of hot spare bowlers, Carol
Johnston 225/627, and Michelle Bennewies
238/590. Gerry Armstrong rolled a 250, .
Janet Moody 209/549 and Jack LTngarian
returned to the team with a first game 228.
Jack was also the lucky raffle winner and
seemed to fade in the last game, likely due
to the excitement.
The first place race continues this week
with Bears vs Wildcats and Guttercats vs
Highway 401. The Beatlejuice teain also
has the opportunity to move out of the last
place position when they take on the
Ballbangers.
