SENIOR SHUFFLEBOARD is held every Wednesday afternoon at the Arena `from 1:30 to 4 pm. Last week's winners were: Ladies Hazel McGonigle 520, Doreen .Kele ly 385 and Mary McMillan 381. Ladies Broomball • Parr Line 1 - Jr. Fanners 0 Pram .Carter scored the only goal for Parr .Lune, off passing by Glenda Chapret and Sandra Faber. The Jr. Farmers played an exquisite game of broomball. Goalie Dianne made awesome saves. Great game ladies. Winthrop 1 - ,Queens 2 Janice Finlayson elevated the ball direct- ly into the net . for the Queens. Defenceman Jean Haggitt moved.up to forward position and scored the second Queens goal. Bren- da Empy was credited for assistance on both' these goals. With thirty-nine seconds remaining in the..game Winthrop's Tammy Nash:drilledthe ball into the top corner of the net. Tracy Bennett and MargTFlauagan assisted. Winthrop Ladies had ample chances of scoring but opposing goalie ;Norah Eckert had horse shoes all around her. Commercial 6 - Perth 0 Susan Hulley achieved two goals and had Peewee Cs beat Mitchel E Seaforth Peewee "CC" played Mitchell Tuesday night, winning 6-2. More details of that game were not available at press time. Saturday night caught the Seaforth Peewee "CC" flat-footed when they faced off against Clinton for Seaforth's home game in Hensel. By the end of the first period Clinton -had flipped three goals in- toSeaforth's net - without much reaction from the Peewee '"'CC", . The second period saw a little spark begin to show for Seaforth when Boyd Devereaux finished off a perfect set up by Mike •Hugill and Jason Henderson to get Seaforth on the'bgard. By the third period Seaforth seemed . to, be snaking a come back but Clinton fired in its fourth goal halfway through the third. Boyd Devereaux scored Seaforth's second goal off Jason Henderson and Jamie McNichol. Jason Henderson pulled Seaforth closer. then by scoring the third goal with Boyd Devereaux assisting. Clinton, however scored the clincher in Seaforth's empty net at the'48 second mark, handing Seaforth Peewee "CC"s their first loss of the season 5-3. :D,aisies upset Poppies in :senior :;bowling Senior Alley Bowlers saw the Daisies pull the upset of the week when they took six points •from the league leading Poppies. On lanes three and four, the Asters took four points and the Roses three, however the Asters mon one game by a single point with the Roses ;taking Pintail also by one point. On lanes five and six, the Lilacs took five points to .;the Petunias two, moving the bottom five teams a little closer in pointsexeept' the -Poppies who are still well in the :lead. Barb Flanagan steered the ball into the net off a pass by Maureen Flanagan, and Linda Boyd sent the ball into the air and into the net as well. The Perth Ladies had no luck whatsoever. In Ladies Broomball on November 29 at 8 p.m. Queens vs Commercial; 8:50 p.m, Jr. Farmers vs Winthrop; and 9:40 p.m. Perth vs Parr 'Line. Men's Broomhall Raiders 2 - Winthrop 2 Ray Hinz for the Raiders got two goals with help from Blaine Pryce and Jeff Campbell. Winthrop's. hot defenceman mov- ed in to the blue line and scored 'off a pass from Dan .McNichol. With one second re- maining in the game Jim McDonald tied the game up, assisted by Steve Knight.
