Seaforth and Clinton tied one attempts to take advantage of some space to sweep the puck another 3-3 in Novice exhibition hockey action on Sunday. Men - Bill Kelley 426, Lloyd Hogarth 237 and Sandy Pepper 232. The Tri -County District Senior Games Committee have been meeting all summer and fall, to organize the games for next year. The Rules committee would like some feedback from all participants, with respect to the age category for participants in the Ontario Senior Games. There are three options to choose from. • I would like each Seaforth participant to read the following options and call. me at 527-0882 and indicate which options you prefer. Op- tion No.1 - That the games continue to be offered to people 55 years of age and older. Option No.2 - That the physically active Games have two (or more) age categories. Option No.3 - That all Games be limited to people 65 years of age and older. Please take five minutes to call 527-0882. This is very important and will reflect highly on future Senior Games. RECREATION PREVIEW by (Recreation Director) Marty Bedard from 1:30 to 8 p.m. A hot dinner will be served for an extra $8.00 per plate. Admis- sion into the hall will be $3.00 per person. This event will be held under the authori- ty of a Special Occasion Permit. The Seaforth-Denmark Hockey exchange group still has a few tickets left for the Car Draw and Dance. The tickets can be purchased at a price of $100, which in- cludes the draw for a Ford Probe, nine cash draws, and admission for two into the dance. The dance and draws will be held on Saturday, November 18, 1989; at the Seaforth and District Community Centres. Only 350 tickets will be sold. Tickets are available from any members of the Ban- tam Hockey team or at Rnh and Betty's K .n.iroos hold The Kangaroos lead the St. James bowl- ing league this week. Top scorers were Don Nolan 309 - 796, Francis Feeney 220 - 516, and Reg Chappel 256 - 657. The Tigers stayed in fifth place this week with Dave Moody 225 - 542, George Love 212 - 631 and Marilyn DenHaan 202 - 555 leading in the score department. The Pythons pulled ahead of the Leopards liy taking seven points placing them in second place. Brian Love 282 - 644 and Jack Ryan 218 - 568 were top scorers. The Leopards placed fourth with top scorers Karen Hoegy 243 - 529, Pat Ryan 207 - 462 and Carol Johnston 202 - 513. Tween Variety Store. Proceeds from the draws will help fund the team when it visits Den- mark in December. Don't miss the bazaars being held this Fall. On Saturday, November 18, at 2 p.m., the St. Thomas Anglican Church will host its annual bazaar at the Church Hall. Feature items include, a country deli, a baking table, craft tables and a tea table. Admission is free, The Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting its ANNUAL BAZAAR on Monday, November 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This bazaar will be held in the Hospital Board Room. Feature items are: crafts, baking and a tea table.Come out and support these local groups. five point lead The Flying Monkeys held on to third place this week taking five points from the Coons. Top scorers for the Monkeys were Murray Bennewies 287 - 790, and Ken Moran 212 - 577. The Coons gained two points this week but remain in sixth place with Cathy Broome at 236 - 648, Pat Nolan 243 - 579, Cheryl Campbell 212'- 538 and Bert Kloss 209 - 552. Pat Nolan and Karen Hoegy tied for ladies high single with a 243. High triple goes to Cathy Broome - 648. Both the mens' high single and high tri- ple goes to Don Nolan. ringette season officially begins The Ringette season for the Seaforth Tween team (12-13 year-olds) officially began in Hensall this past Saturday after- noon against the Exeter Tweens. Exeter opened the scoring with three unanswered goals in the first period. The Tweens had several scoring chances but were a little edgy around the Exeter net. With 26 seconds left in the first period Jen- nifer Marion finally scored with Kelly Rau earning the assist. The final score was 5-2 for Exeter but the Seaforth girls made a good effort. Members of this year's team are Jill Wood, Jennifer Siemon, Lisa McKay, Michelle Etue, Tricia Smith, Carrie McLI- wain, Kelly Rau, Lisa Gingerich, Dana Dalton, Jennifer Marion, Jill Carnochan, Katie Craig and Kelly Ratcliffe. Junior ringette team makes strong showing The Seaforth Junior Ringette team travelled to Mitchell on Sunday and played another strong game despite a number of penalties called on each team. Seaforth scored three goals in the first period and three in the second, defeating Mitchell 6-3. Scoring for Seaforth were Melody Turner with 3; Tracey Fortune with 2 and Cheryl Mcllwain one. Picking up assists were Janice Rodney - 2; and Kim Rau, Jodie Hugill and Robyn Carnochan one apiece. The next home game is this Friday at 7:15 p.m. against Goderich.
