Dorothy Annis Mark of Dartmouth, Nova
Scotia died Monday, 'October 16, 1989 in
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia She was 69.

tthe ,fate .'Senator ' W:M and Mrs. ;Golding.
iEhe'reeeived,4ter education ,at the Seaforth
'Public School, the Seaforth _Collegiate and
the rave Ity of Western Ontario. She ,was
married August 8, 1942 in i,o Idon, Ontario
to James C Mark wh sure Ives.
Also surviving are tour daughters, Deir-
dre Mark of Montreal, Quebec, Carolr:
Wallace :of New Brunswick, Brenda Dexter.
of Victoria, British Columbia and Dorothy
Elaine Ogilvee of barbnoath, Nova Scotia;
four .grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn
Perrett of Vancouver, 'B.C. and Marjory
Montgornery of ;SPatorth; and two brothers,
Arthur Golding of London, and Frank
Golding of Seaforth.
Cremation was held, and a memorial
service will follow at a later date.

AGATHA 'PENNER
Agatha Penner of Tdithview Home, New
:Hamburg, fartd "formerly of Wellesley, died
Wednesday, October 18, 11x.9 at St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener. She was 84.
Born m the wine on Novetftber 11,
3904, she was 'the •daughter of David
Tiiebert -and 'the former Agatha .Lrihrenz.
She !s•survived'by'three sons, David and
his wife ,Lois of Conestogo, !Jahn and his
wife Elaine of Seaforth, and .George and
his 'wife Ruth of 'New Hamburg;'10,grand-
children; .and six. great .grandehiidren.
Mrs. 'Penner was predeceased by her
husband John in 1978; a son Henry and an
irritant daughter; and one brother and one
sister.
Funeral services were held on Saturday
at the Wellesley Funeral Home. Interment
Maple View Cemetery, Wellesley.
JOSEPH FLANAGAN
Joseph Flanagan, formerly of Stratford,
died Friday, October 20, 1989 at the
Seaforth Manor Nursing Home. He was 68.
A son of the late Joe and Ethel
Flanagan, he is survived by three sisters,
Doris (Mrs. Frank Ryan) of Seaforth, Ber-
nadette (Mrs. Carl Steinback) of
Teeswater, and Joan (Mrs. Lou Mclver) of
RR 2 Staffa.
Mr. Flanagan was predeceased by one
brother James.
Friends were received at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth and a
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday
at the St. Columban Roman Catholic '
Church. Burial was in the church
cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Steinback, Wayne
Steinback, Tom Ryan, Allen Ryan, Jim
Mclver and Bili McIver.
D. 'EDGAR ALLAN
D. Edgar Allan of 'Seaforth, and'formerly
of Tuckersmith Township, died Tuesday,
October 17, 1989 at Huronview in Clinton.
He was 90.
Born in 'Dicke/smith Township, 'he was
a son of the late James Allan and the
former Minnie Hell. He 'was a member of
Northside United Church in Seaforth.
He is survived by sons, Howard of
Tuckersmith Township, James of Toronto
and Robert of Clinton; and a daughter,
Mary (Mrs. George Gloade) of Petersburg.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren
and a sister, Louise Allan, of Huronview.
Mr. Allan was predeceased by 'his wife,
the former Annie Turner; a brother
Howard; and a sister Margaret.
Friends called at The Whitney-Ribey
Funeral Home and a funeral service was
held on Friday, with the Reverend Don
Jones officiating. Burial was in Baird's
Cemetery, Stanley Township.
Pallbearers were Bob Broadfoot, Stu
Wilson, Mac Wilson, Alan Nought, John
Henderson and Bill Dallas.
WES LENTING
Wes Lenting of Hensall, died Saturday,
October 21, 1989 at his residence, He was
57.
Mr. Lenting is survived by his wife, the
former Anna Kok; daughters, Linda and
her husband Allan Butson of $taffe, and
Patricia and Carolyn both of Hensall; and
sons, Michael of Canadian Forces Base,
'Baden, West Germany and .Robert of
'Bengali.
Also surviving are brothers, Harty, Rick
and John of Strathroy, sisters, ,girlie (Mrs.
Andries Srnid) of Ailsa Craig, and Grace
Kok of Strathroy; nand grandchildrdh, Tim,
.Jacob, Michelle and Shawn.
Mr. Lenting was predeceased by his
parents, Jacob and Dina Denting.
Visitation was Monday in the Michael P.
O'Connor Funeral Homes, and a ifuneral
service was held Tuesday =at the Itereter
Christian Reformed Church by `Pastor
Robert Arbogast. Interment followed in Ex-
eter Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations
may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation.
JOHN TOWNSON
John William James Basil Townson of
Port Elgin, and formerly of Seaforth, died
Tuesday, October 17, 1989 in Owen Sound.
He was 75.
Mr. Townson is survived by his wife, .the
former Elsie Murray; and daughters,
Susan (Mrs. Wayne Coulson) of Mount
Forest and Margaret at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Minnie
Pickles and Eleanor Townson, both of
England; five grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
Mr. Townson was predeceased by one
sister, Florence.
A private family service was held in the
Chapel of Eagleson Funeral Home in
Southampton. Cremation. followed.
.As expressions of sympathy donations
may be made to the Canadian Diabetic
Association.

Murder -suicide •

Goderich OPP report nothing new yet
in the investigation of 'the suspected
murder -suicide last week involving' a
Stanley Township couple.
Goderich OPP were called to a
Brucefield area home last Monday, where
they found the bodies of Richard Aisen-
prels, 43, and his 37 -year-old wife
Elisabeth Aisenpreis.
They are awaiting the results of a cor-
oner's inquest.

A motion to buy a Tuckersmith
Township flag for the Seaforth District
Arena was defeated by Council. It was
noted that the Arena is still operating over
budget, and that sandblasting and 'epoxy
costs for maintenance of the showers will
cost an estimated $15,000.

A zoning change by-law has been pass-
ed, pending approval of site plan control,
for the property Part Lot 45, Concession 1,
London Road for the proposed development
of a Donut Shop/Laudromat. A letter of ob-
