The Seaforth Hospital Auxiliary's first
meeting of the new.season was held in the
board room. A potluck supper preceded the
meeting and there were 25 members in
attendance.
President Marg Smale welcomed all the
members. Geraldine Wilson read the
minutes, Treasurer Susan Dick reported a
profit of $1,723 from the Spring Penny
Sale.
Marg Mennell read correspondence from
the Seaforth Recreation Committee inform -
mg the auxiliary of tentative plans for a
Volunteer Conference in the Spring of 1990.
Also a letter was read in regards to the
Seaforth Citizenship Awards. Anyone
wishing to nominate anyone for this award
should obtain forms from Recreation
Director Marty Bedard.
Membership Chairperson Joyce Lee
reported that to date there are 44 active
and 34 associate paid up members.
Shirley Dinsmore, Board Representative,
informed the group that the date for the
official opening of the new addition is
November 18, 1989.
The Region 2 Fall Conference for the
Hospital Auxiliary is to be held in Kit-
chener on Monday, September 25. There
will be six . members from Seaforth
attending.
The Hospital Auxiliary Convention is to
be held at the Royal York Hotel in Toron-
to from October 28 to November 2.
A "Mock Disaster" was held. at the
Hospital on September 18 and the Auxiliary
is now included in the plans for this as
part of the team to help with patients and
families. Jackets are to be made by the
Craft Committee for use in the future.
Reports were given on projects in the '
coming months;
(1) The Fall Fair, where cook books were
sold and the draw was won by Isobel
Moorehouse of Innerkip.
(2) A Staff Pie Sale is to be held on Tues-
day, September 26 in the Board Room.
(3) The Auxiliary will be putting a booth
in at the doll Show on Sunday, December
3, 1989.
(4)Christmas Cake and Meat Pies are be-
ing planned for the Christmas Bazaar in
November. Frances Teatero and Jean
Wilbee are in charge of these two projects
if you would like to help or donate
anything please contact the above
mentioned.
The Roll Call for October will be an ar-
ticle for the White Elephant Table for the
Christmas Bazaar to be held on Monday,
November 27, The Mystery Prize winner
was Dorothy Hays.
The next meeting is to be held on Oc-
tober 10. To any young people in the com-
munity who wish to apply to the Junior
Volunteer Program, please contact Mrs.
F.R. Teatero or Mrs. Y. Kitchen at
527-1650, applicants are being accepted at
the present time.

were married Saturday, September 9, 1989
at CFB Toronto. The bride is the daughter
of Frank and Mary VanderMolen of Clin-
ton and granddaughter of Margaret Whyte
of Seaforth. The groom is the son of Doug
and Auc' -e• - Elliott of Oakdville. Matron of
honor wds Mary VanderMolen, mother of
the bride, and bridesmaids were Carla
Elliott, sister of the groom and Margaret
Anis Thomson, friend of the bride and
groom. Best man was Doug Marshall,
friend of the bride and groom and guests
were ushered by Mark Safiolis, long time
friend of the groom, and Neil Elliott,.
brother of the groom. Flower girls were
Tanis VanderMolen, niece of the bride and
Maria Whyte, cousin of the bride, both of
Seaforth. The couple will reside in Moose
Jaw, Saskatchewan.

Cheryl Anne Beattie and Blaine Clarence
Pryce were married Saturday, September
23, 1989 at St. Paul's. Anglican CHurch in
Wingham by the Reverend Douglas Madge.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn and
James Beattie of Wingham and the groom
is the son of Naomi and Harold Pryce of
Winthrop. Maid of honor was Maureen
Beattie of London and bridesmaids were
Patti McDowell of Blyth, Lorrie Cataford
of Sarnia, Susan Brown of London and
Carolyn Packwood of Windsor. Flower girl
was Theresa Pryce of Winthrop. Best man
was Dave Hulley of Winthrop and guests
were ushered by Michael Beattie of Wind-
sor, Wayne Pryce of Lucan, Brian Pryce
of Winthrop and Murray Pryce of
Goderich. Soloist was Paulette Lippert of
Teeswater and organist was Marilyn
Brydges of Belgrave. Following a reception
at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Com-
munity Centre the couple took a wedding
trip to Ottawa. They will reside at

SCHMIDT-VAN DRUNEN
Kelly Ann Schmidt and Michael Joseph
C. Van Drunen were married May 13, 1989
in London St. Pius X Church, with the
Reverend Murray Sample officiating. Maid
of honor was the bride's sister, Julie
Schmidt and best man was Michael's
brother Peter H. Van Drunen of Stratford.
Guests were ushered by Francis Van
Drunen, brother of the groom, and Douglas
Harron of London, friend of the groom. A
reception and dinner were held at the
Polish Hall in London. The couple now
reside at Rosewood Park Apartments in
London.
