Lownbowhing coming to on end
The Lawn Bowling season is fast com-
ing to a close as fall weather approaches.
However, Seaforth bowlers have been
active at home and also in out of town
tournaments. On Sunday afternoon,
September 3, the Seaforth club hosted a
mixed trebles tournament. Winning first
prize were Fred Tilley (skip) Betty Tilley
(vice) and Anne Jaynes. (lead) with 3 w
plus 45. This was Anne's first mixed tour-
nament and was quite a thrill for her. I
believe Anne bowls with a set of her
grandfather's bowls and is making good
use of them.
In second place were Art and Mary
Finlaipon and daughter Brenda Empey
with 3 w plus 44, op 6. Third went to the
Kitchener team of Ray and Jean Pyper
with lead Mary Cobean with 3 w plus 39.
Fourth prize went to Ken Cowan and
Wm..and Teresa Bakker of Midland with
2 w plus 44 op 1. Fifth went to London
Fairmont Club's Norm and Noreen Welsh
and Agnes Bowlby with 2 w plus 43 op 6.
Next Sunday, September 17 at 1:30 p.m.
Seaforth will host it's annual fowl tourna-
ment. It will be Seaforth's last tourna-
ment for this year. Bowling clubs in
