thoroughly and ruthlessly as any English
professor. It rates you against, great works
of prose, analyzes your .work to see how
much is "proper English” ,and tells you
what grade, level you write at. If you take
such things personally you'd probably put
your fist through the monitor.
Running the program at this point and
looking back over what I just ,.wrote, the
computer found 20 grammatical problems
with what I've written .above. Some valid
and many I ,ignore. It .tells me paragraphs
usually have more than one sentence. It
says "circles around" is .a redundant
phrase. Long sentences can be diffieult to
read and understand. I should use "but"
Sparingly to start a sentence. "Literally"
means word for word, not "actually." K'he
phrase "the majority of" is long-winded,
try "most."
Picky machine isn't it? It even .Old me
